Even if Calzaghe would've lost the SD, I'd be thinking "Well, he lost in a **** hugfest of a fight. Time to move onto someone else and not bother with all that avenging-a-loss crap".

Meanwhile, on the far opposite end of the spectrum, you have Pac-JMM. Their 1st fight reeked of boxing awesomeness. Their 2nd stunk of pugilist brilliance. So why would any boxing fan in their right mind not want to see a 3rd fight that could potentially give off a strong, pungent whiff of sweet science masterpiece-ness?

    Yeah, what?
Why are you red? Fookin awesome post, son.

            PACMAN DONT FIGHT JMM AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You won both fights and you are evenly mathched. Say if you fight again, it will close and JMM wins. So what? If Pac wins....yes but he won the second fight already. Whoever wins it wont bother me.
We pretty know what happens when these 2 fight each other. Evenly matched with Pac flooring him a few times, and JMM tries surviving for the rest of the fight.
I want to know how JMM would do against Hatton? I want to know how Pac would against Hatton and Margarito? I want to know how JMM would do against SSM?
There are just fights i would rather watch now. Pac wont fight for ever, and hasnt got an indefinate amount of fights left. He would be best fighting someone else other than JMM, and the same goes for JMM.

How observant.... Whats in it for PAC other than to "please" Mexican whinners??? A win is a win... Who said a win in boxing isnt valid unless its a complete one sided beating???? If a the Superbowl was close and came down to a damn field goal... Do people say **** that let those two teams play again cuz that game could have gone either way...

I really dont care either way if they do or dont fight again but in NO way does PAC owe JMM another fight.... JMM got not one but TWO damn chances already and came up empty handed... How many chances does these whinners want, 4,5,6,7 fights??? I dont think these people would be happy with 15 close fights as long as JMM is at the losing end...

It would help his legacy, he'd be beating the number 2 pounds for pound fighter in the world, the number 1 lightweight in the world and if the fight is fought at lightweight, it would give him lineal titles in 5 weight classes which has not been done before, it would settle once and for all who is the better fighter considering the controversial nature of their first 2 fights, a lot of people had Marquez winning, I'm not one of them but there's no denying that Marquez could have easily won both fights even with the knockdowns.

And it's not the same as football, in football the two teams will inevitably meet each other again, be it in the same season or in the next. Marquez' time is running out, he deserves one more shot at Pacquiao.

I think boxing fans want to see this, so why not have it happen?

Pac has admitted that he has 2 maybe three fights left... I can argue that PAC can strengthen his legacy even further by fighting others besides JMM... Yes, maybe it could help his legacy to fight and beat JMM AGAIN but in 50 years would people be impressed by PAC fighting and beating JMM again at 135 (be it for a lineal) who he has already beat or go elsewhere and fight say a Cotto or SSM??? Lets really think this through...

Also, the Superbowl analogy does fit because its one game and no matter how close, the winner is the winner.... The following year does not count because the teams are not the same.... If the game was close, everyone accepts the winner and thats that...
