Guys need to cut Hopkins some slack for his 2 "losses" against Taylor.

Hopkins was weight-drained, and at his age, it's a big big problem.

Many here feel he was robbed in the first fight, and even then, he had no favours from the judges in the rematch.

You need to remember this guy is 44 years old, cur him some slack if he is not as active as he once was

Correction: Calzaghe threw twice as many punches but hopkins landed the clean shots.

I mean this basically sums up the fight:

Here Calzaghe throws 5 punches and lands 0. Hopkins throws one that lands cleanly. I'm sure compubox had calzaghe landing 3 of these punches too. In real time it's a blur of awkward looking, often slap-like punches. A closer look reveals the truth which for most of the rounds, hopkins landed the clean/effective punches, while calzaghe threw many ineffective punches. That was the story of the night. Now this is where people disagree on scoring. Some will always score for aggression alone. Others will score for clean/harder shots, ring generalship, defense and strong emphasis on EFFECTIVE aggression.

Joe won fair and square!!! BHOP needs to stop chasing cause it aint gota happen, the low blow incident shows BHOP had no game plan B/C whilst Joe did. A sign of a true champion!!

Why would the we the boxing public want to see this match? We have had such a great year... we don't need to see old guys stealing a slot for younger fighters.

thats true.. I score for clean and effective shots landed.. defense, etc.. i mean aggression and work rate plays in the mix as well but clean shots are the most important thing i look for
