i dont think its the color of the skin as it is the fighting style of the top heavys now, most people dont see the skill these men posess and like more blood-n-guts. but they will be respected a lot more when they are gone, just like lennox lewis is now but remember when he was fighting people said the same thing about him and his fighting style

You may be right. I don't see allot of people on here bashing Vitali so much. He is the most exciting heavyweight in the game today and his fights are comparable to that of Lennox Lewis vs. *insert name here*.

Unlike Ali, Holmes, and Tyson the fighters you mentioned have no personality, and boring, and it should be illegal mentioning any of them in the same sentance as Ali.

Maybe if Wlad called his opponents bums like Ali did, or said he was going to eat their children like Tyson, you'd like his personality better?

I prefer Wlad the way he is. He's a better role model than any heavyweight since Marciano.

Good to see this fight signed. However, Haye now has NO shot to win short of a stoppage, with the fight being in Germany instead of the UK. Team Hayemaker really blew the negotiations here...but I suppose it is inevitable that this fight would not go the distance either way.

It got nothing to do with color but I agree the eastern European heavyweights work much harder in the gym & usually have long extensive amateur careers.they tend to be better role models as well because of their work ethics & education.these guys usually speak several languages maybe not English but they are educated.American heavyweights come from jail,the ******,come from troubled family life such as poverty,etc.the eastern Europeans are better prepared for life without boxing.they make their $$$ & get out before they are broke & punchdrunk.take a kid from a tough background of drugs & crime & give him $20million & see where he ends up.the klitschkos are doctors who speak 5 languages fluently,valuev lived in a one bedroom apartment with his wife & kid even after he started making big $$$.watch hasim rahmans interview after his loss to wlad he said the reason the eastern europeans are dominating boxing is because the American heavyweight makes too much $ to quickly & it's tough to maintain focus & he said the eastern europeans work harder.Americans live off talent,eastern Europeans perfect their talent to the best of their abilities.i'll take plain personality over trashtalking boxers anyday.they do make better role models.except for juan Diaz is a great role model as well.going to law school

Gonna be a good fight with haye taking lots of glancing blows that may cut whilst giving not many glancing/jab blows but quite a few hayemakers which wlad takes untill the 5th were he come back up but the ref has to calll it off.

Wlad was previously pushing for clauses to have 2/3 rematches with Klitschko's to the point he'd have to drop a title to keep fighting them. Frigging ridiculous, hope it's a fair deal now.

It's just that he's boring. Jab, jab, jab, right, run away. Repeat. A left hook once a round. I agree with the posters that no one knock Vitali because he fights. He just gets knocked for being hurt so much and rarely fighting. It took a long time for Lennox to catch on and he was a black Euro HW by the way, his style was boring for awhile too. If Povetkin had some pop he would be pretty exciting too.
