      what about mike tyson?

he was short but he was 220lbs. when I say "size", I mean mass. But tyson also had great speed and technique.

        This is the best post.

That's one I was trying to get at that a lot of people don't think about. Large hands and prominent knuckles are common amongst heavy punchers.

I have small hands and alright sized knuckles and I think I have decent power.

Well it's not a must to have large hands, but it certainly helps. I'm sure people with small and normal sized hands can crack too. Another thing with the hands that people don't think about, making a tight fist upon impact; so grip strength is important. This is one of the very first things I learned in the gym.

It starts with the launch and pivot of your foot, the push of your leg, the twist of your hips and torso, good shoulder and arm extension, and the rotation of your fist to complete.

                For me anyways...

Strong core + hip rotation + good form + leverage + broad back = Thomas Hearns (huge puncher)

That's a good point too, the rotating of the fist and turning the punch over.

That is true... I always loosen my hands up then tighten on impact.
