Gamboa's chin isn't particularly good, but he gets hyped to the max though.

Who you got and why, and is MAB as past it as a lot seem to think?

When new of this fight first came out a lot gave MAB a good chance, thought it was still a risky step up of class too soon for Khan. I'm surprised at how opinion has altered even the past month or so where neither has done much.
I'm on the fence, Kris, mainly because it's impossible to tell how much Marco has left in the tank going on his last two fights alone. What I don't like is how people write off a fighter so easily. At the risk of repeating myself, the impression I got from his recent fights was that he's trying to get some more live experience before moving onto better things. He carried Ventura for 4 rounds then knocked him out, when to me (and the commentators) it looked like he wasn't even trying to look good, but rather making the best of the opportunity to get some rounds in -- a step up from sparring.

I'm not saying he is shot (I don't think he is), or that he is slipping and looked terrible, nor am I saying he will even beat Khan, but that people seem to think they can tell where he's at and are quite content to just sweep him under the carpet based on two fights that he showed absolutely nothing in.

I would like to see how sharp he looks in training before making any predictions for this fight, so I'll reserve my judgment until then.

He doesn't get hyped by me. Gamboa has skills and awesome speed, but it's likely he'll be knocked out when he steps it up a bit.

Yeah that is exactly what I think. He's in a similar situation to Khan though, both have speed/power but are chinny, yet only one gets slated!

Probably because Khan is a star who doesn't really deserve to be. Gamboa is far less known than Khan.

OK, whatever you say. I didn't see it like that. I saw a guy trying to get rounds under his belt.

Barrera didn't look too bad in the Rojas fight. He started patiently, landing single shots, clearly winning the round. Second round he landed a few decent combos. In round 3, he landed some more decent combos and looked quite sharp on his feet before getting blatantly headbutted, then Rojas was DQ'd.

Marco won each round, and also he weighed 140 for this fight -- more than he will be weighing for Khan, which could possibly help his speed a little bit.

I think it's too early to start writing Barrera off completely. If he'd struggled I might agree with you though.

Mark my words Khan will not be a CHAMPION unless they buy the title. His chin is bad, very very bad.
