    Here's the gist of it:

Ricky Hatton says he will not give up drinking between fights even though his new trainer Floyd Mayweather Snr warns he needs to do so to extend his career.

After Hatton's easy win over Paulie Malignaggi on Saturday Mayweather said: "Alcohol and eating bad, he's got to leave that stuff alone."

    But Hatton told BBC Sport: "I am what I am. I'm a jack-the-lad. I like a drink.

"Floyd wants me to stop drinking completely but I don't think I need to go that strenuous."

"Pacquiao was humble, down to earth, and EXOTIC?" What the? Is Arum describing Pacs sex appeal now?

Anyways, it goes to show how a champion should carry himself in and outside the ring. Not taking anything away from Hatton who is a down to earth person to.

Ricky always looks heavy 2-3 months before a fight. He's the larger man plus he drinks a lot of beer.

Was Vernon Forrest pound for pound #1 after he beat Shane Mosley?

Was Antonio Tarver pound for pound #1 after he beat Roy Jones?

                  Exotic = Racism

What Bob Arum means by "exotic" is an old euphemism for an other worldy savage. During the time of the British Empire, they would go out to Asia/Africa and pick up parts of the culture i.e art, food, women and upon return they would sell it to the locals as "exotic" other worldly commodities. Arum is a Harvard guy so I'm sure he's familiar with this stuff. Arum is essentially treating Manny as a rare circus animal he dug up deep in the jungle to entertain the ignorant masses.
                  Old racist bastard.

I still don't know why people get concerned and state his weight issues when he has never been overweight at fight time.

He will come in the naturally bigger guy and when he hits Pacquiao, people will see why a natural featherweight should not fight a true welterweight..JMO
agree with you mate ricky is too big and if he wins the p4p title based on this fight then ithe p4p title is a joke and nothing more than a plastic trophy that the biggest paydays in boxing circulate between themselves.

pacman imo should be at LW at this stage in his career, he has no buisness at 140.

i personally wouldn't give hatton as much credit for this win as his performance against collazo.

its like what do you consider to be a better performance from bernard - kelly or tarver

I can see your point but with Hatton and Pcquiao is pretty much the two greatest at this moment in time in the same weight class, one is bound to beat the other and be greater.

What would be left for the winner ? Who would be left to fight and what would be left to prove ?
