I doubt it happens right away or ever, seeing as how Vitali will be forced to face Maskaev within 4 months of this one. It's ridiculous, but so is allot of things in boxing. Either way, I don't see anyone anytime soon being able to handle Vitali. No way, no how. I said it before the Peter fight and will say it after the Gomez fight.
it's amazing because I predicted years ago that vitali would fall by now due to natural decline of his abilities but what I DIDN'T predict was how poor the competition right about now would be so even with his declining physical abilities I don't see Vitali being outmatched by anyone any time soon as you said.

Vitali is forced to fight Maskaev and the winner of Valuev/Chagaev is forced to fight Ruiz. It's pathetic how the alphabets are scared to let the new blood in and keep forcing the fights that nobody gives two ****s about. How can boxing not lose fans when WBA has been in Ruiz/Chagaev/Valuev circle for years now?

Arreola is a money fight though. the best American hw. he has a better chance with wlad though. Vitali has too hard a chin.

I agree that Vitali can handle anyone but I'm nowhere near interested in Vitali fighting Chag or the freak show Valuev, both guys are an utter joke. at least with Arreola has a chance to make an exciting fight while it lasts. Valuev averages 12 punches every 3 minutes and Ruslan has been in boring fight/injury, boring fight/ injury and isn't looking impressive any any recent fight. I think Povetkin is his biggest threat out there.

Chagaev/Vitali isn't an interesting fight, in fact NO ONE in the USA gives a **** about Chagaev. He isn't that good at all.

EVERYONE wants to see either Vitali or Wlad knock out the fraud Valuev but Don King won't ever let that fight happen.

rocky training is great & all but is he mentally prepared because he sounds like he's looking past gomez.he should beat him but he's got plans for his next title defences before he has beaten gomez.
