Vitali is amazing, really. He hit Lennox more than anyone had ever hit him in a 6 round period and looked better than that in the fights since, even after 3+ years off. I cannot honestly say he has lost a round since then. Maybe one or two to Sanders , but even then it's a toss up. I always knew that he had the skill and if his body allowed him to fight he would dominate. I mean, look at the latest common opponent between him and Wladimir, who is supposedly the most skilled heavyweight. Peter. He was almost in the fight against Wlad but couldn't even hit Vitali. That shows that Vit's skills are every bit as sharp as they have ever been and he has not lost a step whatsoever. Everyone knows he is the real 'lineal' champ and the rankings don't mean a whole lot. All that really matters is all 4 belts around a Klitschko waiste.

It's simple, plain and I for one hope it happens. It's a good story and the boxing 'world' needs it. Not just 'American' boxing.

No. It's called being a doctor and having an understanding of the human body. Who are you to critisize that? Would you fight with a cold against an top 10 heavyweight fighter? If you say yes, you will most like be lying or will get put to sleep for your ******ity.

How can boxing not lose fans when WBA has been in Ruiz/Chagaev/Valuev circle for years now?
Boxing cannot avoid the slide until things change. I agree, it's a shame. They want to have several top earners and that is good for the promoters and sanctioining bodies, but not for the fans at all who crave the best matchups.
We are stuck out while people in the business flourish with low risk fights.

I don't care which one he faces and I do prefer Valuev, I just want all 4 belts in the K family. One thing I will call you on is Chagaev being complete trash. He put himself in position to win a world title and delivered no matter how it transpired. You have to give him credit for it. Besides, I think Valuev just fought horribly with Holyfield because he felt sorry for him and didn't want that fight in the first place. He had not looked quite that bad prior to that fight and his punchrate was nowhere near that low.

This being said however, Vitali would own and KO either man with relative ease. I would love to see the giant fight though. It would draw a crowd as a circus act if nothing else. Plus, Vitali is never in a boring fight.

In fairness, he could probably look way past Gomez and still embarass him.

Regardless of your personal opinion, looking past anyone at this level is extremely dangerous. Upsets have happened time and time again, and Klitschko isn't immune to that happening to him. Gomez is a very talented operator who has himself probably taken most of his opponents too lightly. Both fighters won't be doing that this time, though. No chance.

You're absolutely right. It is just my opinion. But we both know Vitali takes no opponent lightly and will be well prepared. If he were prone to doing that he would fight with injury and we also know Vitali doesn't do that either. Any way it goes, good luck and I hope your man makes a fight of this at least.
