    Look there is no debate......

The bottom line is, Barrera is an old man and WAYYYYYY past his prime. This is not an excuse, it's the truth.

If Khan wants to be a lagit contender in boxing, he HAS to beat an old fighter like Barerra.

It's a good stepping stone for him because Barrera carries a name more than anything else. It should be an ok fight because Barrera is a seasoned vet and knows how to survive in the ring but Khan should beat him.

If Kahn loses to a washed up Barerra at this point in his career, he's not the real deal.

That whole terrified to get hit deal works very well for Wlad.

Amir would do very well if he could adopt that. If he stays a way from the too tall lightweights, he's too tall himself. lol

Amir has too much heart though to be that negative, he likes fighting - his chin doesn't.

this fight is a funny one, it wont be close AT ALL one way or another... either khan wins a wide decision with barrera barely touching him or barrera knocks khan out. theres no inbetween in this.

I've studied Barerra's last 2 fights and he looks bad, and that's against very questionable opposition. After he has got through the early rounds he should be able to control the fight and win a decision or possibly stop Barerra late.
Though his chin is always vunerable and he could easilly get caught with a big punch early on.
Regarding these last two fights you studied, don't you think it's possible he was just trying to get some rounds under his belt? I do. In fact it was pretty obvious that's what he was doing. He could have taken out Ventura in the first round, but after a lay-off he needed something more than just sparring. As for that last fight, I firmly believe his intention was also to get some rounds under his belt, but he ended up getting fouled and cut.

It's not easy to see right now exactly where MAB is at, how much he has in the tank, etc., but I don't even think he was trying in those last two fights.

Yeah. Just stay away from the likes of Marquez, Amir.

First of all the Limmond knockdown was not a flash knockdown, Willie put Kahn down hard, Khan got up but then went down on one knee again, if the fight had been in the States or Khan was just a regular nobody most refs would have stopped the fight because of this, never the less he got plenty of time to recover.
I think there would be no doubt about the outcome of this fight had Barrera had a full 8-9 week training camp but the fact is he will be entering the ring having just 3 full weeks of training (4 if he trains in England in the week preceeding the fight but this is the time when the fighter wind's down and maintains their weight) and a cut that would have insufficient time to heal, these factors along with Marco's age (dont forget Julio Ceaser Chavez was the same age when Kostya stopped him) make the odds far closer.
As for Marco's poor showings in his previous two outings id put this down to lack of motivation against very poor opposision, he was just feeling his way into the 135 division. Finally as a Barrera fan id have to say for the first time that i am dissapointed in what i see as a lack of professionalism on the part of Barrera, in his rush to a fourth weight division title he is very possiby entering a fight for the first time drastically underprepared, even Warren was prepared to postpone a few weeks

If he doesn't do that he will get KOed by any top contender with a possitive KO ratio. Khan has got the size and the speed to make that style work.

Agree with everything there, but for one thing: I don't think he needs a hugely long training camp because he has been pretty active recently. It's not like he ballooned up to Hatton-like proportions, he's already fit and almost ready.

Could be wrong. It's just a thought, anyway.

That's quite possible, i just didn't like the fact that he was barely throwing anything apart from the jab, he looked a bit gun shy.

Khan should be able to handle MAB at this point.
