You're saying someone as technically gifted as Marquez wouldn't win a SINGLE round against Floyd?
    Which round did Baldomir win?

Most Floyd fights I've seen he usually gives away at least one or two rounds early when figuring his guy out. Since Marquez would be the most technically gifted fighter Floyd has ever been in the ring with, even though JMM is smaller, he's definitely going to win at least a couple of rounds, especially with the year and a half of ring rust Floyd will have.

Yeah Thomas Hearns might be Hagler's biggest because the Hitman was very popular.

BUT Hagler has John Mugabi in his Resume also. a "beast" with freakish power I would rank that win higher that Hearns if we're not considering popularity.

FLOYD's style spells DOOM for Marquez. Floyd is not an aggressive fighter who comes forward all the time
It's not like JMM can't close the gap with precision punching either. He doesn't just need his man to move forward in order to find openings.

most of aaron pryor's defenses was against natural super lightweights.

most of marvin hagler's defenses was against natural middleweights.

like i said. if he didn't want to fight 147 guys then he should have gotten the **** out instead of doing nothing holding the titles before.

all the floydboys keep saying he's not a 147 guy yet whenever talk is made about a future opponent who is coming up from weight......they want it at 147.

I have yet to say anything of the sort.

He did get out, he retired and the 147 pound division moved on without him, the true champ of 147 has yet to even be sorted out yet (Mosley is the #1 man). Floyd is not considered by anyone to be the top 147 pounder right now, to get back there he would have to prove it. He can fight at whatever weight he chooses now, if he can make 140 I see no issue with him fighting there. What if he went to 160 and tried to be middleweight champ (a pretty awful division, so he would never do it).

If he fights JMM or Pacman I would hope it is at 140 or a catchweight somewhere inbetween. It would make me like either fight much more.
