Only thing he really lacks is defense, but everything else is there.

He is also a very likable dude and is willing to fight the best. How can anyone hate on this man?Originally posted by Gene TunneyI'd give him an 8 or an 8.5
He's one of the top 25 fighters in the world, and one of the best champions in any weight division. There's lots to like about him:
- has one-punch knockout power
- smart adaptable fighter
- fights good opposition
- has held titles in two weight divisions
- fights often
- lots of heart
- excellent resiliance, recovers quickly and completely after being hit hard
- usually comes forward aggressively
- doesn't waste his punches, we don't see many wild haymakers
He has a little problem defensively, but he is the goods all-around.Comment

Yes, he would beat Dawson at 175, because Dawson was fighting at 168 when he DECIDED to move up. He's a smaller guy. That's not that big of a deal.
Dawson won, quit making excuses. Both are good fighters, why do you need to make excuses like a douche bag?Comment

I agree. But, the sad part is, at 32, I doubt it picks up at all. I think he should take his chances with Hopkins before he tries his chances with the Heavyweights. Though, just for the hell of it, I think he beats Valuev's ass.Comment

Adamek is a really good fighter, he has his flaws but he works past those flaws and pulls out the W most of the time, I just hope his punch resistance stays with him for a few more years because of how much he relies on his chin, once that chin goes, he could be in trouble. He technically isn't the best fighter around either but he finds ways around that so he's an all around good fighter. A 7.Comment

Yeah, within history, he gets a 7 for me, but as of right now, I give him an 8, leaning towards a 9. His division isn't TOO loaded, but he makes sure to fight the best fighters within it. Good for him, likeable guy.
I stand corrected. I must have read his resume incorrectly. My bad.Just a note. He beat Briggs by decision both times.I was at both fights.
Dawson pretty much schooled him except for the knockdown. He couldn't do anything the first half of the fight.
O'Neil Bell was a good win but Bell is such a headcase with him chasing people with a hammer in training camp.
Cunningham and Banks were very good wins and he's tough as nails but he can be beat by slicksters who outbox him.
I gave him a 9 but am thinking he's an 8.5.
He fights a lot and usually pretty high quality guys so that rates really high with me.
At 175 he was a stick, so cruiser is perfect for him. He has some pop but not serious heavyweight pop so I think he should stay at cruiser.Comment

One other tidbit for the hell of it. He fought Briggs the first time with a broken nose suffered in training camp.
It was a grueling 12 round war and he fought it with a broken schnozz.
He's got the heart of a champ.
My pop says he's from a hillbilly part of Poland. LOL

That is why I rated him a 9, he is one of the top 20 fighter in the sport. That pretty much gets you a 9 in my book. 8 is fair also though, because he doees have some weaknesses that can be exploited.Comment

Yeah, his defense could be his downfall with the move up. However, you know he'll make it fun to watch.Comment
