..TOMASZ ADAMEK: A Pretty Damn Good Fighter...

He's a good fighter. All there is to it. I had SOME doubts about him, to an extent.

However, he's beaten Paul Briggs twice, once by stoppage. Thomas Ulrich was a good win, and showed heart and power in putting Chad Dawson on his ass in a losing effort. His only loss. He rebounced and moved up to capture his second different weight division title. At Cruiserweight, he beat O'Neil Bell, and fought neck and neck with Steve Cinningham in a Fight Of The Year candidate. Then, just this weekend, was rocked a couple of times, but came back to stop Johnathon Banks in VICIOUS fashion.

What makes this more impressive is that he fought these fighters in the span of ROUGHLY 4 and half years. Which is pretty nice when you factor in that he has a couple more years to go at the highest level, being only 32 years old.

Now, he's the TRUE champion at 200 and is thinking about Heavyweight. I don't know how good of an idea that would be, but I would love to see him try once he cleans up at 200.

    Good for him.

8 or 9 he is a world class fighter for sure. If you go in with the plan of outboxing him (not running away, you have to stand up to him at points), I think you can beat him. In any kind of war or if you can not get his respect it will be a pretty long night.

He is a very good fighter at pressuring without wasting punches, he has plenty of power and a rugged chin that somewhat makes up for his defense.

I love watching him fight though.

As one of the posters here said, he is the new and improved Arturo Gatti, but unlike Gatti(who got killed every time he stepped up) he is game against even the best of the best although he probably loses to any fighter with speed and skill.
I give him 7.5 for now, and if he keeps on doing his thing he would go as far as 8(keep in mind that 10 is someone like Floyd Mayweather)

Edit: I actually meant he loses to the best of the best who got speed and skill.

Definitely a good fighter with the possibility of being great. I like his power and his relentless style.

Good fighter but as Dawson showed he can be beat, had Cunningham had a better chin he would have won it seems. Chad had Adamek scared to come in.

Adamek was sick and weight drained when he fought Dawson. He was killing himself to make 175, that's why he moved up 25 lbs to cruiserweight.

              Adamek KO's Dawson at cruiserweight

Just a note. He beat Briggs by decision both times.I was at both fights.
Dawson pretty much schooled him except for the knockdown. He couldn't do anything the first half of the fight.
O'Neil Bell was a good win but Bell is such a headcase with him chasing people with a hammer in training camp.

Cunningham and Banks were very good wins and he's tough as nails but he can be beat by slicksters who outbox him.

                  I gave him a 9 but am thinking he's an 8.5.

He fights a lot and usually pretty high quality guys so that rates really high with me.

At 175 he was a stick, so cruiser is perfect for him. He has some pop but not serious heavyweight pop so I think he should stay at cruiser.

                    7-8 on today's standards.

I wouldn't rank him top 10 p4p but he is among the best champions in the sport and undoubtedly the best cruiserweight (although a rematch with Cunningham could go either way).
