What I find so amazing about him is his mental toughness.

How many times have we seen things just not go his way, and he just keeps truckin, and eventually just takes over. I mean I think he was genuinley overwhelmed by Diaz in the first 2 rounds tonight. He looked uncomfortable in the ring and in his corner. A lot of guys would get totally thrown off by that, by getting knocked down 3 times in the 1st round...but not JMM. Dude has so much will it's crazy. I love Marquez, he's the ****in boss.

I agreed. Last night I said about halfway through the fight to a friend: You gotta love JMM- he has an IRON will. He just can't be broken.

I have to agree, the guy is textbook and has one of the best left/lead uppercuts ive seen. Still dont think he did any better than a draw with Barrera though!

i love that he's as great a technician as you'll find and as gutsy a warrior as you'll find at the same time! what more can you want in a fighter??

I wouldn't say his chin his superb because he's been rocked/down several times, but to his credit, he always recovers very well. He has a lot of heart.

I love watching Marquez fight, he's so good technically and he's exciting to watch.

He dissected Diaz. He figured him out by Round 4 and then implemented his plan and destroyed him. AT 35. AND JUMPING up for yet another weight class.

If you can't respect him you don't love boxing. The guy's stance is picture perfect. He can fight inside, and outside. He can adjust.

THE ONLY REASON you can hate him is racism, nationalism, or just not understanding what the sweet science is really all about.

JMM is the real deal. I've been saying this for a while. Time for the haters to give him his props.
JMM is almost perfect, a little just a little better defense and he would have beat Pacquiao too. The only weak spot i've seen in him is really a not so good defense, gets hit too many times. Other than that he's perfect and very intelligent too. Most 35 year olds would lose to Diaz that night.

Let me start off by saying that Mayweather is my favorite modern fighter by far with Calzaghe a close second.

But when it comes to raising my kids, I will have about 4 or 5 JMM fights on dvd for them to watch and learn life lessons from. That 1st fight with Paquiao is just amazing and straight out of a Rocky movie. So much heart and never been KO'd!
