Yeah Marquez was incredible tonight. What I like about him the most is his boxing intellect. He makes adjustments when he needs to and it seems the majority of the time he's right on with them. I was a little worried in the beginning when he seemed a little bit bothered by the pressure of Diaz, but I had to remind myself that it's ok because an adjustment will come and soon he'll be landing big shots and nice combinations. That's what happened and it was fitting he folded Diaz with that right uppercut which he had found a home for in the previous rounds.

Nothing else in the sports world even comes close.
Absolutely. I'm a huge sports nut(Football, Baseball, Basketball), but nothing gets your blood going like boxing. In no other sport do you feel such a connection to the athletes like you do when you're watching a fight like that. You become so emotionally invested because the stakes are so much higher in boxing than any other sport. There's nothing like watching a legendary fight live, absolutely nothing like it.

Man, when Diaz went down for the second time I did a Hank Moody fist pump, and than proceeded to wake up my entire house. What a ****in rush.

In my eyes, Marquez was already a lock for the HOF and an ATG as well. But I realize that on paper, the D and the L to Pacquiao will always be there, no matter how close they were, or what I thought of them. I remember me and Silencers discussing Marquez a month or so ago, and comparing him to Ricardo Lopez.

But I felt like with those close decisions against Pac not in his favor, he'd need to do something dramatic in order to erase whatever doubt remained. And I felt like he did that tonight, it was epic. One of the most thrilling fights I've seen since I started watching boxing in '95 or '96.

Should have used the razor and cut Annie's fat ass. You wouldn't had to worry about blood, cause that fat muthaphucka bleeds gravy, yo......

My girlfriend's sister was hanging with my gf at the house tonight, and when Diaz went down the first time, I lept up out of my chair. She heard it I guess, and came to see what the noise was. She opened the door to the computer room at the exact moment Diaz dropped the second time and caught me in mid celebration.

I completely missed the John-Juarez fight. Gotta catch the replay. JMM-Diaz was off the chain tho. Good **** from both guys.

John-Juarez was a very good fight, which I had John winning 115-113. And yeah, JMM-Diaz was indeed off the chain, bud. I'm still amped up.

I will not lie, I was ****TING BRICKS since the fight was so close and Diaz was bringing it to him!! I've never had anything against the Baby Bull, I don't dislike him. Goody too shoes additude my ass.. The dude is doing something you and I haven't done and that's mix school with pro boxing. To me the people who use that against him do it out of jealousy.

He came through with flying colors, and I tossed the razor blade back into my desk drawer.
I didn't mean because of the fight... I just meant general self harm while listening to My Chemical Romance.

Why the hell do you always have to come in with a bullsiht pseudo psychological Dr.Phil spin on anything you don't agree with?

So I didn't like Diaz going into this fight, so that equates jealousy?

No, I just never saw him do anything amazing in the ring that wow'd me. I guess he just needed the right opponet to do so, and tonight he did. All props to Diaz but you're reading much farther into this than necessary.

This was a great fight and I agree with everything you said. During the fight I had said the same thing about Juarez, about being the gatekeeper type fighter. And for the Marquez fight I actually thought the pace started to change in favor of JMM midway through round 3. It just seemed to me like he was landing the cleaner and harder punches while Diaz wasn't landing many effective punches.
