Ricky Hatton was the man at 140 & Floyd Mayweather Jr wanted to fight him & Ricky didn't want NO parts of PBF. Didn't you see Hatton/Cotto at the Gatti fight? They were supposed to be next in line. PBF moved up to 147 for a lot of reasons and one of them was cause he couldn't get Hatton (Who was/is the man there).Comment

I can find many articles like this one which seem to show that Hatton very much wanted the fight to happen, and many articles like this one which seem to show that Mayweather simply preferred to fight Judah at that time, rather than fight Hatton, and that Hatton was still very keen on making the fight even after Nov 2005. Do you have any links that back up what you say?Comment

For all the PBF Haters talking about Floyd ducked Shane Mosley
Mosley wanted to go back down to the welterweight division he once dominated after the first fight, but the rematch kept him at junior middleweight (Fernando Vargas). Now, he intends to go back to 147 pounds.
Waiting for him could be a mega fight against pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather Jr. Mayweather would like the fight in November, but Mosley said he doesn't even plan to resume training until November.
"You know Antonio Margarito is out there waiting to fight Floyd," said Mosley, who earned about $4 million plus a percentage of pay-per-view profits. "Those guys should fight each other and we can fight next year. The only thing I know is my tooth is a little lose and I might have to go to the dentist."

Miguel Cotto at 140 wasn't ready for Hatton or Floyd.
"We're looking for guys like Ricky Hatton and 'Pretty Boy' Floyd Mayweather. So you're seeing now the finishing touches on the emerging superstar, and in 2006 hopefully he will be able to claim the mantle of the real, real superstar."
Hatton emerged as the recognized 140-pound champion with his TKO of Kostya Tszyu June 11. Mayweather, the pound-for-pound king who is also promoted by Arum, stopped Arturo Gatti to claim a junior welterweight title two weeks later.
Cotto against either man would certainly qualify as a super fight, but before either match can be explored seriously, he has to keep winning."

Despite "Pundits" Marquez Too Much Diaz
Diaz needed to get Marquez out early because of the age difference and Diaz's baby fat body. He almost did it, but Diaz had no answer for Marquez's uppercut, which landed almost every time it was thrown. And Marquez out jabbed Diaz pretty well. Eventually, experience, angles, and accuracy overcame youthful exuberance. One of the best fights I've seen in a long, long time.
I got annoyed with the commentary during the fight. Only Kellerman noted that Marquez was landing as much as Diaz early. Thanks Max, until you spoke I thought I was the freakin crazy one.Comment
