How could I forget about Roy Jones. He was sponsored by Jordan Brand for a good part of his career and was still sporting JB gear in the Calzaghe fight. He even has his own boxing shoe.

Here is an ad he did for footaction wearing a JB trainer:

Again, I think it has more to do with that fact that boxing simply is not popular in the US right now. The only names people really know are Mosley, DLH, Jones, and Mayweather. The first 3 names made their career in the 90's and early 00's. Boxing may be more popular in certain parts of the country like NYC but I can guarantee you that someone like Paul Williams could walk through most major cities and get completely unnoticed. Hell, even most people don't know who Bernard Hopkins is.

Roy Jones Jr. Fought Garbage for a while and still was selling out venues. Foyd after Dancing with the Stars, De La Hoya, Hatton and retirement will sell out any venue against anyone. Floyd could fight Nate Campbell and sell out the MGM. 2 black fighters. Black America has NBA, NFL, MLB stars etc. There are very few stars in either league from Mexico, Puerto Rico (except MLB), Europe, or anywhere else. To me it doesn't matter I will spend my money to go to a quality fight close to me.

Can anyone name one black fighter who has a following,a fighter with real fans who will actually go to see him fight and not losing.

I remember George Foreman had a big following

I believe Mayweather nearly had a deal with Nike/Jordan brand. The Mitchell fight was sponsored by Jordan Brand and even Michael Jordan himself was there in the front row. Team Mayweather sported JB gear for the Judah fight and there was even talk about Mayweather having his own shoe but for whatever reason it never fell through.

Again, I don't want to sound like I'm trying to downplay racism in boxing but I think your overlooking the popularity in the sport. If Mayweather was white would have endorsement deals? I don't know for sure but I think it's safe to say that there would be a greater chance.

Maybe it's because half of Floyds knock outs came against his babies momma.
What ever happened to your boy Plasterito, err um hands of plaster, no I mean Margarita...Shane punished his skill lacking, glove loading, cutting from light heavyweight to welterweight because he can't hang with the big boys ass. Margarita's knockouts came from loading his gloves.

Back then yes some blacks had a following.Nowadays it's different,Mosley fought in his own state but the crowd was behind Margarito.Judah fought Cotto in his own town of New York but the crowd was with Cotto.Hopkins fought Calzaghe in the USA but the crowd was behind Joe.(even if Benard had not talked about losing to a white boy he wud have had no support)

Margarito is from Southern California also. In SoCal a mexican fighter is fighting at home because there are alot of Mexicans that support there fighters. New York has maybe just as much Puerto Ricans as the P.R.(kidding), I don't like Bernard so your are right on the last one. Calzaghe, Hatton have a crazy fan following.

I don't agree with that. Many professional athletes that endorse products are black. Has a white athlete ever had had shoe named after him? Why hasn't 1 white basketball player gotten on the list below when 5 blacks did?

Also 6 of the Top 10 most endorsed athletes are non-white, 5 are black.

According to CNN Money - Fortune, these are the top ten athletes in order of money made from endorsements in 2007:

                    1. Tiger Woods - 2007 endorsement income (est.): $100 million
                    2. Phil Mickelson - 2007 endorsement income (est.): $47 million
                    3. LeBron James - 2007 endorsement income (est.): $25 million
                    4. Dale Earnhardt Jr. - 2007 endorsement income (est.): $25 million
                    5. Michelle Wie - 2007 endorsement income (est.): $19.5 million
                    6. Kobe Bryant - 2007 endorsement income (est.): $16 million
                    7. Jeff Gordon (tie) - 2007 endorsement income (est.): $15 million
                    8. Shaquille O'Neal (tie) - 2007 endorsement income (est.): $15 million
                    9. Peyton Manning - 2007 endorsement income (est.): $13 million
                    10. Dwyane Wade - 2007 endorsement income (est.): $12 million
