Kermit Cintron Speaks on Fighting Miguel Cotto in June

I'd rather see Cotto fight Clottey or Berto. He would wreck Cintron. There's no point to that fight.

he been had it......Berto and Clottey are just smoke screens for us.....the consumer! Fights are planned by the 2's whenever Cotto and a bum is involved.......To sell the fight, they was hopin' Cintron KO'd or looked impressive against Martinez.....he didn't! He was even given a gift draw when EVERYBODY who saw the fight saw him lose twice and get saved both times by the higher powers, and I aint talkin' about God.....so Clottey, who Arum doesn't give a **** about.....gets thrown in the frame along with Berto, who in turn still owes Collazo a dance......a dance that ALOT of fans would love to see again, so Berto is kinda unavailable......so Clottey and Berto were thrown in the picture due to Cintron's poor performance against Martinez.....at the end of the day it was ALREADY planned for the 2 PR's to fight on that date in that venue.......no matter what happens, EVERY rican won't leave the Garden disappointed because one of their country men would have won the fight ......Happy Puerto Rican Day from Bob Arum and Lou DiBella

I kinda agree with you, but think Berto is very mich an option. I think Arum will save Cotto/Clottey for a rainey day should Cotto not be able to land the Pacman/Hatton winner. You are right though this really all comes down to being a business on both Arum and Cotto's part, and they are looking for their best interest not necessarily what the fans want.

Cotto's comeback has been carefully planned and mapped out....Clottey is too high risk at the moment......Cintron has a big enough PR fan base to make this a HUGE event.....its all about the money and the state of the economy is only influencing these dudes to be more consumer misleading....Trust me!.......Clottey or Berto aint gettin' this fight.....not sayin' they won't get Cotto, but it just aint happening this June!....of course this is JUST my opinion.......as Americans we are taught to focus on NOT what is seen, but what is UNSEEN!

you got it homey!......why risk Cotto and Pac in back to back months.....Arum learned his lesson from the Pavlik and Margarito upsets.......if Hatton beats Pac then Arum can put Cotto against Hatton, another HUGE fight......I know some people including myself was buggin on Floyd's 20 mil comeback request, but he sees the GAMES these promoters are playin' with us the fans and thats his way of gettin' under their skin without makin' their fighters look ******, B or C class for 12 rounds or less......they (the promoters) are playin' a dirty game so that phrase "keep it clean" should be barred from the sport of boxing!

You're totally right. I don't know why other fans don't realize this ****. Cintron is a joke. So we won't see Cotto fight anyone serious until next year?
What a joke. I know I did'nt buy that BS PPV last weekend. I downloaded it for free and I still did'nt watch the entire fight. Arum has to stop raping people for money. PPV need to go for good. These fighters want people to watch them then they need to stop charging people. What kind of way is that to treat your fans, the people who support you. If it was'nt for fans all these fighters would be labourers.
