Kermit Cintron Speaks on Fighting Miguel Cotto in June

According to this interview Cintron sounds like he knows he doesn't have a chance against Cotto and tries to cover it up by showing respect to Cotto.... Cotto should fight Clottey and Cintron should fight either Berto or Collazo.

This fight should'nt happen. Kermit will get crushed within 5 rounds. Cintron won't get any punches off at all. He loads up too much thats why he can't box. Top Rank better pick from Berto or Clotty. Personally I want it to be Clotty. Let Berto go fight Callazo again they have unfinished business.

I don't know about 5 rounds or less. Cotto's a notoriously slow starter. People only think he fades because of what happened in the Margarito fight. Against Judah, for example, he was getting stronger as the fight went on. Same with Mosley. Yes, Shane had a great rounds 9 and 10, but how did the 10th end? With Cotto landing flush. Then he dominated the 11th, and both guys cruised in the 12th. He doesn't fade unless there are bricks in the opponent's gloves.

Cintron will catch Cotto with a huge right hand and provide many scary moments for Cotto fans if the fight happens. Remember where you heard it first.

No he won't. They will be just like the Mosley right hands. Land flush, Cotto walks through them, and gradually pummels his opponent to the point of tiring. Cintron's a clown. The only reason he would want to fight Cotto would be for the paycheck. The guy lacks the heart to beat an elite fighter and lacks the conditioning to survive the championship rds. The Marga-cheato incident just gave him an excuse to why he lost. He has the tools to be a good fighter but i dont think his heart is in boxing. Even after the guy saw replays of his knockdown against Martinez he insisted it was a head butt. Complete denial. Writer asks him how he thinks the fight would play out and all he could say is that it would be an explosive fight. He just wants the payday.

missed the Martinez fight but he musta ****** REALLY bad because what i have seen of Cintron he is a good fighter with a WICKED Right hand!
He has a decent shot at stoping Cotto but if u break it down Cotto is the superior fighter and should prevail either in a fight or in a tactical type of match I can see Cotto doing a Pinto on him but Cintron going between 6 and 9! VINTAGE COTTO
