Top 3 IMO. I think he could fight like Pep easily if he wanted too...but I don't think he's GREAT with his defense when he comes forward. he only knows how to fall back with it really. He gets like a mummy sometimes. Watch the Judah and parts of the Corley fight I think.

The lowest I would put him in is # 3 amongst those, below Whitaker and Pep.

But I give him # 1.

I know it's an odd choice, but I don't remember seeing Pavlik and Whobio hold in their fight.

Another fighter who rarely holds is Kessler. He initiated only three clinches in the Calzaghe fight, and only one of those was when he was hurt. Very nice, clean boxing.

So... while maybe their isn't a fighter in history who has never held at all, some fighters rarely hold, and only do so when they really have to.
