    Rate Mayweather's defense (All Time)

In my opinion, what seperates Floyd from all time great status, to elite status.

I simply haven't seen enough video of Willie Pep, but I think Floyd's defense is the best ever.

Funny how Lampley says how punches are landing for Judah, when they're clearly being blocked.

        Top 3 to me.

        Along with Pep and Whitaker.

I'm suprised that highlight didn't have any footage of his fight with Phillip Ndou

His elbow to the throat defense is the best I've seen.

Notice how he holds Hatton's left arm with his right. Genius.

Great defensive fighter. He has excellent reflexes and timing with his shoulder roll. He can almost sense when the punch is coming. He does bend the rules however using his elbow to create space and his forearm to shield his opponents eyes. He never seems to get penalized for it and that has always bothered me.

But back to the praise...the other thing i like about Floyd's defense is he always keeps his eyes open even when he's on the ropes so he can see the punches coming. Very hard to do and i dont know many boxers who can do that.

First of all, his elbow isn't anywhere near Hatton's throat.

Second of all, that looks like he's putting his forearm between him and a guy who's trying to make out with him, which you are allowed to do.

And finally, name a single fighter that hasn't held.
