"Who hires inexperienced Spanish referee's for big fights".
Nor submitting a thread making out bad things only happen in foreign German rings.
They happen all over, and Germany whilst often has some ridiculous ones, has a stigma for it, goes over highlighted and exaggerated like your doing now with youtube video's of only one location. Proportionately bad things happen in rings all over.Last edited by Kris Silver; 02-25-2009, 06:25 PM.Comment

I had read the thread thanks, you were merely informed the referee was not German but Spanish. There was no need for you to make the statement "Who hires inexperienced Spanish referee's for big fights". This suggests you just have an issue largely due to him being Spanish, not just inexperienced.
It doesen't make sense to import a referee all the way from Spain unless you know he is good and you know that he knows what he is doing.
In this case they bring in a ref from a country where there is barely any boxing and he drops the ball. It's way too convenient.
If there was a fight in the USA and we brought in a ref from Tanzania and he DQ'ed a Mexican for holding three times I would suspect that people would want to know why the hell a big time American promotor would bring in a ref from Tanzania who didn't even know the rules.Comment

This thread is not about "decisions" I don't think I even used the word once.
I will acknowledge that bad ones happen everywhere, there, are you happy?
This thread is about the biggest promotional outfit in Germany somehow consistently hiring incompetent referees who give their fighters an edge.
the thread is about the "referees" not the "judges"
If you want to start you own thread about bad "decisions" and not bad "refs" than you have my full support.
I'm sick of people putting words in my mouth and missing the point entirely. Jesus Christ.Comment

Negative on that as well. Couldn't care less that he was Spanish.

I just don't know why you've focused this one on area so much. Reason being you didn't know anything of this ref before it seems. Now you do you've already shaped out in your mind quite cynically, that it all plays into some kind of conspiracy. A tad assuming don't you think.
What does Spain apparently not being a big boxing country mean? Guys are judged on their own merit, you don't say your from such and such nationality you get nothing, do you? Why shouldn't he be flown in from Spain? You obviously would prefer it not to be a German referee and Spain is a completely separate, not too far away place.
For all you know that ref may have been more passionate and knowledgeable than the average ref, and the fights he did previously referee were done very well.
I'm not saying that's the case. But you seem to have assumed in minutes he's at the complete opposite end of the scale, consistently bad, from a poor boxing country, and insinuated conspiring. It's just a bit heavy.Last edited by Kris Silver; 02-25-2009, 06:43 PM.Comment

Who hires inexperienced Spanish refs for big time fights?
Someone who needs someone to cheat for them that's who, and someone who knows that inexperience will be the only legit denial of what really transpired.
Hernandez is a Sauerland Event fighter, trained by Wegner. Somehow good things always happen for them..........
You cannot tell me that Sauerland should not be held to a higher standard than hiring terrible refs who clearly help their fighters through "inexperience"
I agree Oner is crooked as they come, but you shouldn't generalize about German promoters and boxing events.
Let's not forget about Don King. There's a lot of shady stuff goes on in the US.Comment
