Vitali Klitschko Wants David Haye or Arreola, Not Maskaev

Have Oleg fight Arreola or Haye. If he can beat either of them, then he'll have earned a title shot. Otherwise this ridiculous mandatory just stalls the entire division.

Maskaev is going to be so ready for vitali after his next tuneup fight against rich boruff(17-2).I mean the guy got 3 of his wins against some strickland guy whose record finished at 66-244-14.remarkable! Not only that he had a 6 fight win streak over 6 different guys without a pro win.how do you expec vitali to beat maskaev when when he's fighting A+ opposition like that! No doubt vitali will not be able to match up to oleg when maskaev prepares himself like that against top level opponents like that.

oleg had he's shot, and was destroyed, this is not only unfair to vitali, who also has to fight gomez, but unfair to the contenders that deserve it.
and yes haye being undisputed cruiserweight champ deserves a shot, as does areola!!

According to some other posters in this thread, it's because Maskaev had a rematch clause with Peter which wasn't honoured, and he has threatened to sue the WBC for a lot of money unless he's made a mandatory. So far so understandable, but why are they insisting that Vitali has to fight two mandatories in four months, which is unprecedented? Something smells corrupt to me about that.

Politics, Politics, Politics.......What's going on here?? Is this a court room drama or a FIGHT to crown the CHAMP? I love boxing and am interested and understand all of this negotiation. But if I were undecided about boxing, decided to look in to it and read an artical like this, it would turn me off. I would be left with the impression that instead of the truest and purest of all sporting endevors, to challenge another athlete physically & mentaly one on one in an arena. I had instead stumbled accross a sport that had something wrong with it. Without sanctioning bodies this sport looses all credability. Know one will always agree with their decisions and their decisions might sometimes be crazy. But they have to be the boss or fights will be avoided and others will never be made.

the funny thing here is not one of you people have mentioned juan carlos gomez.his next opponent.there is no doubt vitali & all of you are looking past him.you heard it here first.GOMEZ will win this fight! It should be by decision but I think he can knock him out! Joe Louis didn't have to be ordered to fight mandatories, he fought all the top contenders and cleaned out the division. These Klitschko ******* seem to think they should be allowed to chose whichever easy fight they want.
