Cliff: You are trying to be objective but all time rankings can all most never be. Check out Steve Farhoods divisional ranking in Ring magazine in 1994. Those are very realistic. Kid Pambele was a good fighter but first he lost to Benitez and then to Pryor. Chavez didn't lose at the weight until the first Randal fight.

I think Kessler has the potential to get up there in the 68 all time but to say he is already second is laughable, ludy cris, and ig-nant
This list isn't that bad, the top 5 are pretty accurate and everyone is within 1 or two spots of where they should be. The jr middle list was pretty good too. Personally I think Cervantes should be 4-5. He only beat 5 other champions/titlists and some of his defenses we rematches that he already won.
Chavez=#1

#1 is still kind of a stretch, but theres no clean cut best at 140 either for that matter.
De La Hoya should probebly be a little bit lower...he only had like 2 fights at 140...but those wins were pretty good. I think he makes the top 20.
Im not too big on Hatton so high either, but Im glad guys like Juan Martin Coggi and Barney Ross got rated fairly high.
I think Tyszu should have been above Locche. always liked Locche, but he didnt have a giant amount of wins at the world class level. and Ive read that his 'draw' with Carlos Ortiz was very controversial. Locche was a fantastic defensive fighter, but he had his limits.

I agree on the almost can never be except to further it with "they can never be period." There are no right answers; just angles and takes. There are probably wrong answers and this system probably makes some of those, but for the most part the top of the lists has been accurate and arguable so if I can add anything to the debates, groovy.
