the speed difference is far to large. Arguello if he lands a big bomb could put Manny out, but I can't see him landing flush, Pacquiao would always beat him to the punch.

I'm surprised boxing scene is showing some common sense here and not automatically picking the older arguello (who happens to be one of my favorite fighters).

Still, 7/10 for Pacquiao, Arguello could land that shot, he had some good boxing skills.

When I debate this fantasy fight in the past during the 126-130 days of Pac, I remember Arguello always winning in the polls like 8-2. Now it's a different tune, Pac now is the overwhelming favorite. But if you search my old post in ESB, you'll find me confidently picking Pac easy. Too much speed difference.

I think Arguello's speed might allow him to pull off the decision. Mayweather is gonna have to stay slick and possibly on his bike.

Arguello never did well against better boxers then himself, he could be outboxed, going to war with Arguello was generally a mistake, unless your name is Aaron Pyror.

Floyd is much more of a matchup problem for Arguello then Pacquaio. Pryor took some hellacious shots against Arguello, Pacman would be tasting them because Arguello was a good boxer with very good timing. If Pacman can take those shots he can win, if those shots hurt him he would lose.
