    Prime Roy Jones jr,

    Bernard Hopkins (younger - prime),

    Glen Johnson,

    Antonio Tarver,

    Chad Dawson,

    Kelly Pavlik,

    Jemain Taylor,

    Winky Wright,

Sven Ottke (early unification - Ottke champ in ninety eight).

Clinton Woods (not great but still better than 90 odd percent of Joes resume)

Darius Michalczewski (not sayin he should have fought him, but the guy was there at the time)...

He should have rematched Reid and Hopkins - but Joe says he doesnt do rematches.

Had he really wanted to push the boat out he could have tested himself at cruiser like say Tony did, or Roy Jones - Chris Bird at HW, (with guys like Vassiliy Jirov, Juan Carlos Gomez,Jean-Marc Mormeck there for him).

I'm not saying he should have done all these things, but all were very viable had he wanted a monstrous resume.

All the guys mentioned would have improved his resume.

PS i'm not interesting in reading a load of lame excuses for him as some people would make excuses if Calzaghe shot someone.

You back up your actions with words. What if calzaghe moved up, beat up virgil hill and eric harding? Sounds a lot better than calling out roy from a little island while beating up on tucker pudwill, right?

"No Show Joe" made up injuries not to fight Johnson and was going to pull out of the Lacy fight before Enzo persuaded him to fight. He wanted no part of Roy Jones.

And Joe's argument to that is they only decided they wanted to fight him when they had nothing to lose. These are the more dangerous fights because Joe also had nothing to gain. See the logic? If you take Calzaghe's own word on it, these people only wanted to fight him when their career needed a boost. Before that, many of them did not want to fight.

Tocker Pudwill was a late replacement for Thomas Tate. I don't agree with pulling a random fighter off his resume and pretending that's the best he could fight. Come on man, be fair. Hopkins and Jones also have plenty of less-than-stellar fighters on their resume's too. I would never pull out Morade Hakkar and suggest it was the best Hopkins could do.

          Antonio Tarver, Don't know.

Chad Dawson, Came up too late, Joe was way out of his prime and very near to the end of his career and is currently retired.

Kelly Pavlik, Who Joe always said was one-dimensional. He was right all along, and it was proven when Hopkins hammered him. Pavlik would not stand a chance against Calzaghe. ANone who thinks he would is a lunatic.

Jemain Taylor, Would have been slapped senseless.

Winky Wright, Would have been out-hustled and beaten on points.

Sven Ottke (early unification - Ottke champ in ninety eight). Are you joking? Ottke never wanted to fight Calzaghe and would never fight on neutral ground.

Clinton Woods (not great but still better than 90 odd percent of Joes resume)
Please... I like Clonton, he is a good man, but he wouldn't stand a chance either. The level of skill between Woods and Calzaghe is huge.

Darius Michalczewski (not sayin he should have fought him, but the guy was there at the time)... Like Ottke, I don't beleve he would have been prepared to fight on neutral ground.

He should have rematched Reid and Hopkins - but Joe says he doesnt do rematches. Wrong. Reid was offered a rematch immediately after the Calzaghe fight. He turned it down.

Quite frankly, I don't care. The point of the post still stands.

Yeah you do. Or you wouldn't have nitpicked at the part without speaking to the gist.

I can use exactly the same argument.

It was worth pointing out that Pudwill was a late sub for the highly-respected Tate. But no, I don't actually care.
