Plus, promotors need to do this in order to get their fighters popularity back and make it seem like they are a big force in their respective divisions again. You can't moan at them for taking an easy fight considering the circumstances.
This is boxing. Not a game. You dont play this sport. TAKE A EASY FIGHT? because you lost is a punk ass way to come back. Jump back in there with the quality of opponents that are on the same level. You can nothing from a tune up. Big miss conception

You forget boxing is also a business. Promotors have to build up their fighters again against lower risk opposition to get more cash, it also builds up the hype for a bigger fight down the line. If they put them against elite fighters straight away they might lose, which could ruin their careers and ruins the promotors chance for mo money.

I didnt forget. Thats my point exactly. Who wants to see these fights? Thats why boxing gets a bad rep. These bull**** promoters caring about their pocket. I know this a business. I seen careers get ruin for that fact alone.FACT: Your Career will get ruin a lot faster if you loose to a bum, rather than losing to a A class fighter.

It's only a we tune up after a loss , plus at least Cottos was for the wbo belt and he probably got cheated in his last fight so deserves a we break plus Pavlik's also just moved down from 170 . It's just one of them thing's in sport , you've got to take a we step back to move forward . Your body needs time to recover after taken a beaten .

It is also a business, and promoters/managers have a responsibility to match their clients intelligently. What the TS is complaining about has been going on for 100 years now.

Guess what? You don't have a clue. You act like this is some sort of tournament. Fighters are investments to everyone around them. Fighters on Pavlik's and Cotto's status are cash cows.

In your seemingly infinite dreamland you are acting like Pavlik and Cotto are breaking some sort of rule. Guess what again? So does everyone else. Pavlik and Cotto have both taken huge risks from time to time in their career. They unlike most championship caliber fighters at least faced off with some huge risks.

So they both took what most would call normal defenses or challenges for comeback fights. After bad losses against a couple of those huge risks, how dare they!!
