The Way to Beat Mayweather?

I agree completely. Mayweather is a lot more comfortable moving backwards then he is moving forward.

My way to beat him is to keep the fight in the center of the ring, with a good jab and make him come to you. The man does not like to throw the first punch, he lives off countering and tiring his opponent out.

The problem you have got though with fighters like Mayweather,Hopkins is they are not concerned with pleasing the crowd so, if they can bore you into making the first move/leading off they will, regardless whether its boring for the crowd or not they will wait it out.

In that sense ideally you need to build up a lead like Oscar was able to, because then they will have to make the fight more etc.

Wrong buddy. Mosley is taller have more reach than Gayweather and Cottos jab was the most effective punch in the fight. You really dont pay attetion to fights. Cottos Jab and timming is top best in the sport today!!!!!!!!!

And castillo prove that if you come close to beat Mayweather, he`ll duck the rest of the top guys!!!!!!!!!!

You need to watch the fight, any Cotto fight and understand what I am talking about when I say he doesnt use his jab as a jab. What we are all saying here is that the kind of jab you need to beat Mayweather is the fast rhythm-disruptive jab to break Mayweather plans, not a power jab which might occasionally land but does not do anything to prevent Mayweather to work his plan.

Cotto's timing (and punch slipping) looked great against (36yo) Mosley and (slow, poddling) Margarito.

He looked a little wobbly at 140, but looks pretty sturdy at 147.

he did look wobbly, but i do feel it was because he was drained. Cotto's body type is not made for 140. And even with being drained he still got up, and he still won the fights.

Floyd doesnt have the Power to KO, plus he doesnt Throw enough to KO a guy like Cotto. He wont risk getting his ass hit . Mayweather can certainlky UD Cotto, put saying hell KO Cotto is absurd!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cottos tiimig as been great since forever. Look the Abduallaev fight, the Maliggnagie fight, the Pinto fight, the Bailley,ect,ect,ect. And he is very good at slipping punches, like I said, check out his other fights, like the N`dou fight, the sosa fight, the Malliggnagie fight, the abdullaev.

It seems that you have only seen Cotto since the Judah fight!!!!!!!!!!
