of course pacquiao will not hit that hard in the higher weights... he started at 106 lbs for crying out loud... even david diaz admitted before that it was not pacquiao's power that did him in... however, we all saw what pacquiao's inability to hit hard did to his naturally bigger opponents... a wasted bloody goo formerly known as david diaz and a physically and mentally battered golden boy... it may not be that powerful as oscar said, but it stings enough to get the TKO in the end...

lolz , coming from a guy who got his face ****d. im not saying that the PACMAN will KO everyone in the WW division, but you gotta have some power to do that to guys known to have a great chin like dela hoya and david diaz. i dont know about hatton, but based on his recent fights he clearly doesn't have a great chin, he got rocked by a blown-up feather weight journeyman in lazcano. as far as the PACMAN winning against a legit welterweight, i can see it against collazo. and if ricky got hit in the chin flush, he will get knocked-out for sure, if lazcano can rock him the PACMAN sure can knock him out.

for me, his advantage is his speedy footwork. he has a defense, better than he used to have, maybe u think it's not as complete as i do and im ok with that but thing is before diaz fight, he has always been hit.

im saying, he's been boxing smart since then, defensively.

Oscar De La Hoya said that he felt so weak and helpless during last December's stoppage loss to Manny Pacquiao that during the seventh round he was hoping for the Filipino fighter to land a knockout blow. What's even more telling is De La Hoya's claim that Pacquiao is not a heavy hitter, at least not at their agreed upon weight of 147-pounds. Much of Pacquiao's steam as he rides into the May 2 showdown with Ricky Hatton, is the pounding he gave to De La Hoya. Two fights prior to the De La Hoya win, Pacquiao was barely able to get past Juan Manuel Marquez in a rematch that was held at 130-pounds. [details]
To his credit, Oscar does have one of the best chins in the business.

Him having a black eye don't mean PAC hits hard......

It's the accumilation of punches that gets you.... Roger mayweather quit against Chavez and said he didn't hit hard either, and goes onto saying the amount of shots he took is what did it.

So in reality Paulie MAULINAGi could have given DLH a black eye....
If you are just standing there not fighting back, and taking shots non-stop, you should have some wear & tear, but the shot is only able to be judged by the receiver of it, or the puncher can say he hits hard if the other guy is laid out.

                      I agree.

De La Hoya: I wanted him to 'knock me out'

if he wanted to be knocked-out he should have come out to round 9 from his corner rather than just quit on his stool.

He should go to the hospital again for the follow-up medical check-up.
