No but it was the same crappy fighter I saw struggling with Syd Vanderpool and Rubin Williams.
Let's be honest about Joe

Eubank was passed it, lost 2 of 6 previous bouts, with his wins against sub-par fighters. He lost his next 2 bouts. Go figure.
Woodhall = Er...Mediocre fighter
Brewer = beating a 37-8 figher with no significant wins is nothing significant.
Mitchell = Er...Mediocre fighter
Reid = Taking a very very dodgy SD, no Rematch. Go Figure.
Lacy = Anyone's career defining fight is againt Lacy really does not say much. Last i heard Lacy was schooled silly by Taylor.
Kessler = IMO, Joe's best win, but again, his only real claim to fame is his loss to Joe, and he has not beaten anyone to be a career definging win.
Hopkins = Joe should have gone to the states sooner to face a Prime Hopkins. HE would have lost, but his career would have had more significance. Taking a dodgy SD against a 43 year old is pretty poor. I also don't but into the nonesense "Hopkins Ducked Joe". Nobody is going to go to Wales to face someone holding 1 belt (and the WBO belt at that). I mean look at Froch, not even Taylor can be bothered with him and his 1 belt.
Let alone a Superstar like Hopkins or RJJ..
Roy = 3-3 in his lat 6 bouts, with his 3 wins coming against 2 mediocre fighters, and an ex-welterweight: Trinindad.

Face it, Calzaghe's career lacks 1 Prime v Prime bout against a Boxing Superstar.
Hatton did that against Mayweather, he got KTFO mind, but compare him now to Joe.
Calzaghe had so much talent, but wasted it all spending a decade in an awful weight-class, beating mediocre mandatories, when he could have made the move to the states a early as 01
A few of you picks show obvious Bias.
Eubank was not past it, he took Carl thompson to the very limit in the next fight for yet another world title and was 3 rounds up before the figth was stopped controvercially in the rematch, hardly the results of a shot fighter.
Brewer and Mitchell where not mediocre fighters and both are a mile better then Glen johnson ever was at 168. Unlike brewer and Mitchell, Johnson actually deserved to lose to Ottke.
The Reid result was is only dodgy because it was a SD, I'm 10x more a Reid fan than a Calzaghe fan and Calzaghe battered him, I have no idea what figth the guy who scored for reid was watching.
The hopkins result wasn't dodgy either it was just close because hopkins stopped any sort of fight happening, everything he did was negative and frankly it would be terrible for boxing if Hopkins had won that fight.Comment

Yeah because boxing is so much better since Calzaghe made the decision to retire with Jones. Who's biased again?Comment

Joe felt Dawson was not ready for him but Peter Manfredo was ready.
So there was no point fighting Benard Hopkins who he beat with a split decision but it was sensible to fight Sakio Bika.
So no need to fight Glencoffe Johnson but it was ok to fight Sakio Bika.
So Roy Jones was washed up in Joe's own words and still it was alright to fight a washed up fighter.It was also fine to say that was Joe's best performance ever and Joe had to quit on a high.SO his high was beating a washed up figher who had been knocked out so many times in the past few years.
Apparently Joseph Calzaghe does not do rematches but he did with Mario Veit.
Interesting how many times Joseph got injured everytime before a biv fight.He even 'injured' his famous hand before the Roy Jones fight.TV stations in the USA called him 'no show Joe'.Those in the UK didnt want him.I dont remember Joe being on PPV in the UK yet even Amir Khan is on PPV,Lewis was and also Hatton is.
Let's be honest,how do you rate this guy called Joe Calzaghe?Really who did he beat?With his long career fighting 'the best' how much money did he make?How much did other fighers make....but of course you'll find some dudes who'll try to poke some holes in these FACTS!!

I love how people keep getting facts wrong about Joe's career.
#1 Yes some fans do want to see a Bernard Hopkins rematch, but it is pointless from Joe's perspective. He doesn't even get credit for winning a split decision. If he wins comfortably next time, people would dismiss it as a win over a 44-year old and besides, the first fight would be an absolute stinker. Who would pay to see the rematch?
#2 The Manfredo fight was made because Peter had more exposure in America
#3 The Roy Jones fight was all about money. No one seriously believes that the Roy Jones that Calzaghe fought was anything like the former P4P #1
#4 Are you not aware that Mario Veit had worked himself into the #1 contender spot for the WBO belt when Calzaghe fought him the second time. He publicly stated he didn't want to, but it was either fight or get stripped of his belt.
#5 Are you seriously doubting he has hand trouble? Lacy's handlers called his bluff in 2005 when he postponed their fight. I haven't heard them moaning about fake hand trouble since though?
He's definately HOF and TOP 100 ATGComment
