Lacy was over-hyped by the American press, but he was not as bad then as he is now. The Lacy that struggled against Manfredo hardly throwing a meaningful hook was not the same fighter who had won the title. The manner of his loss to Calzaghe and the shoulder injury combined to destroy him as a fighter. And yet despite that, Taylor, while beating him easily, did not look anywhere near as dominant against him as Calzaghe had done. Calzaghe put on a superb boxing exhibition in that fight.

Giving Joe credit for finally stepping up after 40 fights and fighting Jeff Lacy... I will give him credit for looking good that night against Jeff Lacy. Although there was an injury involved and Joe was in his home town; it was inevitable that he would win.

If Dawson had done his duty and knocked out Johnson and Diaconu, he may well have gotten a big money fight with Calzaghe. Performing poorly, then a ducking a mandatory is not a good way of creating a reputation. Dawson only has himself to blame.

Now days..retiring undefeated means more than who you fought. to me clearing out the divisions top ten and unifying the division means your the best...suffering adversity and fighting through it. Getting knocked down a few and getting up to fight hard and win...... Not hand picked opponents and past prime names or bum building.. Now days they got it easy...

no lewis was not way behind on points.he was behind on two points at the most and that was because of a slow start

the fight was stopped after six rounds.Which meant that there still six rounds left to go

HALF THE FIGHT so there was plenty of time left for lewis

lennox had taken the fight over by the fifth round and was starting to dominate
and when lewis found his rythem,he usually didn't step out of it
