I see what you mean but he got the win, many people believe that Hopkins won but i think Calzaghe out worked him down the stretch to pull it out and his name is still on Joe's record.
Dawson on the other hand, is a different story. Hes all wrong for Calzaghe.Comment

Name on his record dont mean ****... I dont like Joe...at all, but ithink he beat b-hop...im not gonna sit here in denial....but it was a split clearly for the fact that they both ****** that night. Joe was more the aggressor...just bad fight...should of been a draw. and also a well known fighter name on ones record isnt what makes a boxer great.Last edited by miamijohn; 02-21-2009, 02:57 AM.Comment

Lacy was over-hyped by the American press, but he was not as bad then as he is now. The Lacy that struggled against Manfredo hardly throwing a meaningful hook was not the same fighter who had won the title. The manner of his loss to Calzaghe and the shoulder injury combined to destroy him as a fighter. And yet despite that, Taylor, while beating him easily, did not look anywhere near as dominant against him as Calzaghe had done. Calzaghe put on a superb boxing exhibition in that fight.Comment
