No excuses can be made for the 2nd fight. In the 1st fight Bernard wanted to dominate the 2nd half of the fight and win. And he almost did. He still embarassed Tarver, dominated Pavlik, beat Winky, and beat da **** outta Tito.

Hopkins is a great fighter... yeah he was a bit lazy and dirty in the Calzaghe fight with the faking low blows, etc. but he has proved to be a great fighter and has been good for the sport of Boxing, his performance against Kelly Pavlik was absolutely fantastic.

He isn't the greatest of all time but people don't always talk about him like you are saying they are... his name isn't brought up as much as some other fighters do.

B-HOP has achieved a lot in the sport and has proven to be a great fighter... especially for a 43 year old where he shown he still has something left in the tank against Pavlik.

        Come on mate... be fair.

His performance against Calzaghe was one of the most laziest and disgraceful performances I've ever seen.
Dude, B-Hop is an ATG no question, But I have to admit his fights are pretty damn boring besides his fights with Trinidad and Pavlik.

It seems a lot of B-hop basher arnt looking all the way back to the 80's. What fighter living and active today has done more than Hopkins. NONE. (well maybe Holyfeild) but He can win some, he can loose some he fought everyone. Ducked not one person. Defended his titles for over a decade. If you think Hopkins is overrated, you need to do some more studying. Or stop the crack.

People say Calzaghe only stopped B-hop because he was old and washed up.

these same idiots wax lyrical about how B-hop rolled back the years to beat pavlik.

              hypocrites.

              Hopkins cant beat Calzaghe.

No one claims Hopkins rolled backed the years. Kelly had the right style that suited Hopkins. I said Pavlik was getting beat before the fight even took place.

Kelly was a human punching bag after round four. Bernard broke his will early and cruised to an easy victory. When your opponent puts up no resistance like Pavlik it is easy to conserve stamina. Bernard fought at his pace the whole fight which allowed him to keep a full tank of gas throughout and not tire.

It was a great win because of the hype Kelly had received similar to Calzaghe's win over Lacy.

                      Hopkins was knocked out tho????
