Thats a myth. Always hear this one from my Jock mates lol. Murray wears St Andrews crosses all over and actually insists on being billed as Scottish.

Henman never did that with the St. Georges cross and was always billed as the British Number 1. I hate Andy Murray anyway - he can be Scottish if he likes.

yeah every nation has its idiots. most of which is down to pure ignorance. I have family who are from England, they however class themselves as Welsh as their father is.

The idea of fellow British people fighting so viciously against each other makes my skin crawl. My father is Welsh and was a (proud) British Royal Marine for years, even serving our country in our victory in the Falkland's War, when Argentina invaded British land and took British citizens captive.

I am British first and English second.

I guess some Welsh people don't like the thought of the English taking credit for there star (no pun intended)... but I saw youtube comments saying it. If English people say he has done British people proud Welsh people respond in "Oh you just saying that to take glory"... but we still consider Hatton as British.

It is kinda petty to say the least to be honest...

(I found this hard to explain without seeming offensive, please guys just give me some leeway here and understand what I meant).

actually it tends to be Americans who lump us all under the Brit umbrella... i just go with it on here but the Welsh and them feel a bit more nationalistic (inferiority complex )
