It's about skills.... Cintron seems to forget how to box after two minutes of action. If you put preassure on him, he seems to lose focus during the last minute of the round and starts bending forward and holding. The kid has not inside game and Cotto will punish him to the body and close distance. Cintron is just looking for the biggest payday which tells me that he already knows his limitations of this sport. As I said before, but infront of him a B or C fighter and he will win. Throw him agains the elite and kermit the frog will drown.

This is absurd. What has Kermit Cintron done other than lose to Margarito twice in brutal fashion to deserve this shot at Cotto? I understand they are both Puerto Rican and Arum wants to put together a nationalistic themed fight for the annual PR parade, but Cintron is NOT the fighter anyone wants to see at the moment. Kermit has an authoritative right hand that can demolish anyone at 147, but he lacks the ability to adapt, can't absorb punishment, and looks for any excuse when he is losing. To top it all off, if you watch the last fight he had with Margarito, Cintron cannot fight on the inside whatsoever, and guess what Cotto is great at? That's right, inside fighting. Cintron is too lanky to absorb the body punishment Cotto would put on him and simply put anything Cintron can do Cotto can do better. He will get crushed in this fight and I don't see why on earth anyone would welcome Kermit into a marquee fight like this after his abysmal performance against Sergio Martinez.

Please fans lets not let this fight happen. There are too many good welters out there for cotto to be fighting cintron. Cintron does not deserve this fight and I will start losing some respect for cotto if he takes this fight. Cotto be a man and fight clottey berto williams or even collazo before fighting this chump.

Cintron is not in the same league with Cotto.If the fight takes place,it would be for money reasons only.I can almost imagine Cintron quitting in the fight.The sad part is,this is the fight that Bob Arum will go after.It makes sense financially,but it is a mismatch.
