Haye was never "undisputed" cruiserweight champion

David Haye held titles at cruiserweight, but he was never the "undisputed" champion at that division.

He never fought the slick and quick Steve Cunningham for the IBF belt.

Similarly, Wladimir Klitschko has three belts at heavyweight (IBF, WBO and IBO) but he's not the undisputed champion.

David Haye didn't have a single successful title defense at cruiserweight. He did unify, by defeating old past-prime Mormeck, who knocked him down, and he beat the china-chinned tomato can Maccarinelli.

But Haye never fought the best cruiserweights:

    1) Steve Cunningham,

    2) the iron-chinned Firat Arslan who wouldn't have gone down from Haye's punches the way the pathetic Maccarinelli did, and would have stopped Haye when the loud-mouth gassed,

    3) the hard-punching Guillermo Jones who would have knocked him out cold.

    4) or Tomasz Adamek, who would have undoubtably defeated Haye by KO.

Haye hand-picked opponents he knew he would beat. For example, Gurov had been previously KOed twice and is slow, Maccarinelli is slow and he's neither difficult to hit nor durable.

Cunningham is fast moving and can slip punches well, he's very hard to hit when he wants to be. He showed excellent stamina in his wins over Huck and Wlodarczyk. Haye would have gassed in the later rounds against him, and then been knocked out.

You're such a biased prick. Gurov was ranked 2 by the WBA in the world when Haye knocked him out in the 1st round. Haye beat Mormeck when he was recognised by all as the best at 200 pounds in Paris. Haye is also the only fighter to have a win over the current WBC champion Fragomeni.

If you think Wlad will beat Haye, thats your prerogative, but don't write ****.

Cunningham is probably the only fighter worth Haye's time, he is weight drained at Crusier lets not forget

Was Adamek even at Crusierweight when Haye was there?

You are undisputed if you have 3 of the major 4 belts

No, he knows he will lose to Wlad!

Haye just wants to cash out with a $3 million dollar payday. That's a lot more than the peanuts he made fighting at cruiserweight.

he may not have the title of undisputed but he was far and away the no.1 heck id say he was undisputed. cunningham is quick and slick yeah but he doesn't have good power, ins't that strong and couldn't even KO adamek whos a light heavy!! throw in the fact that USS cunningham has a weak chin and was decked a few times vs adamek and you have to ask why is this question even being bought up?

adamek at the time was fihting the likes of chad dawson and was a LHW

haye was undisputed - live with it.
