Because he's chubby and they can't see past that. The truth is in real life the stalky thick guys have just as much stamina as anyother athlete and are often time stronger than the typical bodybuilder types.

Arreola will never win a physique contest but dude has some skills. Even when he came in at 230 vs Witherspoon and put it on him he looked soft. He'll never looked ripped or solid it's just his body makeup. As long as Chris comes in at 230 he's a legit contender. He needs more seasoning to face Wald but I think 12-18 months and 4-5 fights with a slight step up in competition in each fight he'd be ready for Wlad.

Physiques don't mean S*** IN BOXING. Look at Miranda vs Pavlik. I'd bet if you polled 100 casual fans before the fight who would win I'd bet 99 would say Miranda based on his physique and those 99 would be wrong.

One opinion I have on Arreola is that his win over Tann is actually more impressive to me than his wins over Witherspoon & Walker.

I made jokes about Arreola's weight, but I do think he has more skills than some people give him credit for, and I plan on rooting for him in most fights. If he wins big fights in the future and becomes more popular, the public would be more forgiving about the weight. Like the old saying goes, "Everybody loves a winner... unless your name is Money Mayweather." Just kidding.

Of course, people are gonna say, he won't win big fights if he stays overweight, so... we'll just have to see.

He was beating Byrd before he was injured.
Even his second tier opponents like Hoffman, Bean, & Norris were as good or better than Arreola's top wins like Wills, Tann, Witherspoon, and Walker.

Arreola is more comparable to Sam Peter pre-Wlad at this point.

Sorry man but no matter how hard you try you just can't polish a turd.

Sure, but there are lots of boxers who didn't face top opposition, and failed to become as good as Vitali.

Back then, a lot of people thought that Vitali would lose to Herbie Hide, a boxer who is half his size and has a glass jaw.

That's just the way it is. If you haven't proven yourself yet, then people don't often give you the benefit of the doubt. There are lots of hot prospects around, but people can only judge which are hype and which are for real by seeing them against a top 10 guy/very tough competition.

What people tend to forget is that his weight is somthing he has control over and I bet evert dollar in my savings that chubby Arreola can bench press more weight that both the Klitchkos.

People forget that Chris is still a very strong man and even though he has a big gut his shoulders are still wider than that gut.

That is always more intimidating than a pretty set of abs.

                  Arreola will be HW champ

Look at Ri**** Bowe. he didnt fit the HW look, but he was the HW champ. Arreola will get more foot speed. If he got in the ring with Wald. he would KNOCK HIS ASS OUT!!!! And his punk ass brother

Cliches aside, you are saying Arreola's resume thus far measures upto Vitali's pre-Lewis?

Yes and it also matches any of the current champions records when they were in their mid to late 20's.
