I mean Manny is possibly faster than Cotto but I don't think he is skilled enough defensively to keep Cotto off of him. Plus it takes Manny some rounds to finish his opponents with his power & I think Cotto would be able to take Manny's power & give his own punches back & drop Manny. What people are forgetting is that Manny ****s out & he could not **** out with Cotto & he sure couldn't out box Cotto because Cotto has a lil skill in that department. Over all I feel Cotto's power & prime condition would be too much for Manny's speed because Cotto is not slow & is fast enough to get to Manny. But I much rather see Mosley/Cotto 2. Forget these fantasy match ups.

Is this the same Buck from the ESPN threads? I agree that Cotto does have a suspect defense but I am not that convinced that Pacquiao would be able to over whelm Cotto & hurt Cotto effectively with his power but I am sure if Cotto lands on Pacquiao it will pretty much be a wrap for Pacman. Cotto has suspect defense but so does Manny. I feel he could not effectively **** out with Cotto & avoid him like he did Oscar in the ring.

Tis is simple math. The only category than manny is better tan Cotto is speed and that not by much. People are saying speed kills, well timming kills speed. And Cottos timming and counter punching is top 3 P4P right now.

I like Pacquiao, and give him props for everything he has done. But he wont beat any of the top 5 WWs no way!!!!!!!!!!

Styles make fights, I think this could be a great fight. With Cotto's punching power and Manny's speed it could be an interesting fight. I think Cotto is a little too strong for Manny though.....

Manny's defense is his in and out movement. He is not technically sound on D.

I would actually say, technically, Cotto's defense is better. It's Manny's quickness with his in and out movement that makes him difficult to hit sometimes.

But he still aint hard to find, that's why I don't think he could beat Cotto. If he was more elusive I'd give him more of a shot, but he WILL get hit. And Cotto will hurt him.

Hold up everyone! You guys have the nerve to say Pacquiao has a chance to beat Miguel Cotto but Floyd Mayweather Jr would get beat by Cotto? Are you guys smoking? Manny is a GREAT offensive fighter granted but he gets hit flush WAY TOO MUCH to even be able to withstand a Miguel Cotto power punch. Manny had his knees buckled by JMM. Manny hasn't even been tested above 135 & you guys give Manny a chance against Miguel Cotto (PRIME) at 147?

I'm not even a Cotto fan & I know that Manny would feel one of them power shots & drop. Manny is a speedy fighter but he totally abandons defense to over whelm his opponents with speed. For the record Cotto ain't no Oscar De La Hoya. In order for Manny to beat Cotto he would have to pressure him & engage meaning he would have to exchange with Cotto.

Cotto has speed so Manny wouldn't be able to dance & move around because we have all witnessed from the Zab Judah fight that it is not wise to back up against Cotto because he is a come forward pressure fighter. I just don't feel Manny power would bother Cotto much at 147. Freddie Roach even said in a potential match up with Mayweather Jr he would try to get Floyd at a catch weight to give Manny a chance, so that tells you that Manny cannot hang with a prime fighter at 147.
