Pacquiao vs. Cotto in 09: Arum Would Attempt To Do It

Hold up everyone! You guys have the nerve to say Pacquiao has a chance to beat Miguel Cotto but Floyd Mayweather Jr would get beat by Cotto? Are you guys smoking? Manny is a GREAT offensive fighter granted but he gets hit flush WAY TOO MUCH to even be able to withstand a Miguel Cotto power punch. Manny had his knees buckled by JMM. Manny hasn't even been tested above 135 & you guys give Manny a chance against Miguel Cotto (PRIME) at 147?

I'm not even a Cotto fan & I know that Manny would feel one of them power shots & drop. Manny is a speedy fighter but he totally abandons defense to over whelm his opponents with speed. For the record Cotto ain't no Oscar De La Hoya. In order for Manny to beat Cotto he would have to pressure him & engage meaning he would have to exchange with Cotto.

Cotto has speed so Manny wouldn't be able to dance & move around because we have all witnessed from the Zab Judah fight that it is not wise to back up against Cotto because he is a come forward pressure fighter. I just don't feel Manny power would bother Cotto much at 147. Freddie Roach even said in a potential match up with Mayweather Jr he would try to get Floyd at a catch weight to give Manny a chance, so that tells you that Manny cannot hang with a prime fighter at 147.

my point is no one gave pac a chance and he won. if he listened to all you saying this is a mismatch he would have never won one of his biggest fights.

i saw cotto in a spanish speaking station blast oscar for fighting someone who not too long ago was a featherweight,but now it's ok for him?..i think manny is too small,and no the height doesn't matter,it's the size of body and cotto is too big for manny,it's like saying ali funeka is 6"1 and williams 6'2,thats it's ok to fight,no it's not,what i'm saying is cotto saw it bad for oscar to fight little manny but now it's ok because all of a sudden,manny looks really big for cotto...cotto should win,and i wouldn't call it a great victory,i said it too in the oscar fight,if oscar won,no credit

I think Pacquaio has got a shot. if it goes 12 rounds then Pacquaio wins, Cotto can KO Pacquaio though. I think the better fight is Cotto-Mosley II anyways. Grustler- I think Hatton is gonna KO Pacquaio, but not offical prediction yet.
