Don King may have been a horrible human being, but he was one hell of a promoter. He made Tyson, Ali HUGE he made Hopkins huge by organising the Middleweight tournament. He Controlled the likes of Holyfield, Tyson, Ali three of the most famour highest grossing fighters on all time.

He made Tito huge in PR, one hell of a promoter just a horrible person.

Most people would not even call the Contender group boxing promoters. They just farm out their guys, to whoever needs them, they very rarely put on their own cards (other then the season finale, not many come to mind).
So yea I guess they would be on the list of worst promoters, although it is hard to even call them that.

King back in the day was the man, like Arum. Now though King just does not seem to have it anymore, and seems to be very small time. I used to consider King and Arum to be the top dogs , but atleast to me in recent years King has fallen off badly in comparison to his peers.

I don't think Frank Warren is a bad promoter, from a fighters perspective.

I'm sure he ditches those who don't make him money, but then, put yourself in his shoes.

From a fans perspective he has been, but he is being more gung-ho of late.

Do you how many times I felt like going up to my promoter and giving him a body shot and then asking him how it feels to be hit and not be paid for it?

If you would have taped it that would have made a great youtube clip~ (although the jail time would have ******). It would be in my top ten favorite boxing moments outside the ring for sure (depending on which one it was, it could place very high).

Seeing Don King or Bob Arum get gut punched by a pro boxer would be priceless (not that I would want them seriously injured, just seeing them roll on the ground would be great, or to make them throw up on their expensive shoes).

The only thing that kept me from doing it was they were the ones paying me that evening and the fact the ***** asses would of sued me for more then what my purse was actually worth.

Warren is probably one of the few exceptions. I havent heard anything bad about goldenboy handling their fighters thus far. That must be a good thing.
