Are all promoters greedy, inconsiderate, and dont care for no one but themselves? Are there any out there you guys can think of that actually take the fighter, his worth, and his purse into consideration?
The absolute WORSE promoters.

I, and we, all heard numerous stories of how King treats his fighters. Underpaid, inactivity, managers/advisers all under King promotion etc. etc. It all depends on how you look at it. Are you willing to get robbed for millions to become a millionaire? I've also heard a few unhappy fighters with Gary Shaw. Cedric, well, forget about it. He probably has good intentions but he always seems to fold under.Comment

There are many unscrupulous cats out there to say the least. Either way its a tough business and they do what they have to do to make the dolla. I actually had a fight that I was not paid for, so you gotta be carefull.
One promoter that I worked with was straight up with me, that being Tom Vacca. He was working with Bill Kozerski out of the Palace of AuburnHills. They said what they would do and did exactly as they said. Good people in my book as far as boxing goes.
Fighting is a tough sport in every way you look at it. But aligning yourself with good people can help. I dont want to name names of those that are the worst, for future professional reasons, but they are out there............Rockin'

I was with numerous promoters throughout my career and can honestly say the one that looked out for me, my purses, and my worth at that time was the Great Sugar Ray Leonard.Comment
