Go look up how many boxing experts gave Morales a chance in the 3rd fight, those other dudes (except JMM who I already said was better then Hatton but amuch different style) were not good opponents (they were not terrible, but not top shelf).

Like I said I favor Pacman still (70-30 give or take 5 %), I just think it can be a competitive fight and that Hatton could work out a way to win if he can maul Pacman. Now Hatton will have top eat tons of Pacman fire to do this so his face will look hit up (imo), but if he can overcome the cuts and bruising he has a shot in my eyes.
There is no way around it though Hatton's skin and face is a definite weak link in this fight, and if Pacman stops Hatton I think it will be because he Makes Hatton's face look grotesque.

We will see May 2nd though.

fair enough fight fan...i see where you're getting at...opinion respected

but since we're discussing the topic of 'fighting backwards' what do you think happens if Ricky is forced to stop moving forward? how do you see that exchange playing out ie. stunned hatton handling a trademark PAC barrage?

personally, i dont see the same ring savvy ala JMM to lay counters in situations like that nor the beard ala Morales to sit there and weather the storm with his own offensive....those are the pressure points IMO, where hatton loses control of the bout....your thoughts?

Why not let Hatton come forward? That's one of his biggest opportunities to score imo. Every punch he lands will be on a guy rushin forward. As long as Pac meets him halfway, he's good to go.

If Pacman can make Hatton back the fight is over there is no way Hatton can win (unless he gets a lucky punch or get lucky in some other way). It would be a terrible beating, he would probably make Hatton look like the Toxic Avenger.

Ricky needs to attack and maul Pacman he has no choice (imo) if he wants to win anyways. Even then who knows if Hatton can keep it up over 12 hard rounds (or if his face will survive 12 rounds).

this requires a good ref that will not let hatton grapple. if the ref is good and pac catches hatton falling into his punches, hatton will get KTFO.

i'm betting that on actual exchanges pac will get the best of hatton, but in the clinch, hatton will hold and hit, since that is a tactic that he favors and one that pac does not employ.

I think you make good point there, because imo Hatton's going to be in more trouble than Pac, if he is backed up than probably vice versa.

it all equates to quite an exciting showdown...a true style of clashes...hatton cant afford to back up and he's inviting a war by moving forward (his best chance at winning) against PAC...should be good theatre Terrible...and if hatton does pull it off, i'd have no problems eating my own words and giving him his full props...i just dont see it happening tho

I think its 60-40 but weighing in Pacs favour. The only reason im giving Hatton a chance is, because of his physical strength and his general dirtiness inside.

It will be very interesting to watch the tactical plan of how they plan to fight each other.

one thing i'd like to add too, i've mentioned it once before and i think its an overlooked detail in this whole thing: Ricky's Jab

look, i dont care how great everyone on this site seems to make Floyd Sr seem to be but he's not gonna make a white PBF out of ricky...and he's not gonna make him a master counterpuncher like JMM...what he can do is employ his ward to re-new a spirited dedication to THE KEY for a hatton victory

ricky's not gonna time PAC...not standing still and not while he's eating punches...what he can do tho, is to throw off PAC with a steady, solid jab...not some pawing, lazy jab, he gets KTFO in that case but a good jab....he needs to be religious with it...even if he doesnt follow it up all the time, its imperative that he establish a jab...its his only chance

PAC fights in rhythm...its a rhythm that his opponents have difficulties timing but if you jab consistently (look at JMM and EM's bouts), it disrupted PAC's rhythm and he kept having to reset....they kept making contact and it would throw manny off...if floyd and ricky figure this out, then their chances increase...if they dont employ and stay faithful with that jab, then it'll be a rough night
