Whoever ends up going backwards in this fight will probably have a long long night. To me both guys fight one way, going forward (now they might be able to do a little bit going backwards but they are best when comming at you) so whoever can force the other into going backward has a definite advantage in my mind.

This a great match up. pacman is indead the best p4p in the world right now without a dought. However, while his last two fights were nothing short of amazing victories, i personaly feel that diaz was no where near the best at lightweight and was an overrated fighter. As for de la hoya he is an absolutle legond. However, de la hoya is i believe 37 years old, and should not have been fighting at that low of a weight, he hasnt fought there in like 13 years. honestly when pacman comes in heaver than de la hoya you know oscar is absolutly drained.

With that being said, i feel that pacman is not been tested againt an A class fighter at these heaver weights yet, and hatton is an A class fighter.
true, but the last elite boxer hatton fought he got KTFO.

As for Hatton, it was clear that he was going no where with billy grahmm. But with floys in his corner hatton has that edge he once possesed years ago. I was amaxed at how he looked against paulie.
I agree that floyd sr. is doing hatton good, but against pac, hatton needs to go back to his mauling style to win... I just down see hatton outboxing pac.

conclusion, i see pacman winning the first half of the fight easy with his superior speed and boxing ability. But i see hatton comming on strong in the second half of the fight. In my honest opinion i think ricky is going going to stop pacman in the late rounds of the fight, hatton by KO or TKO. but if this fight goes to the scorecards pacman will win.
An opinion from an all around boxing fan...
I see hatton trying to box with pac early, but once pac lands the big left hand, hatton will hug and hold for the rest of the fight.

if anyone comes on late, its gonna be pac, but hatton's wrestling will smother any offense pac can muster.

its gonna be an ugly fight and hatton will barely win.

I dont get it, coming foward is Hatton's avenue to getting inside. I put them in the same category, Pac cannot let Hatton come foward, because he will get inside.
Lucero tried to rush Pacquiuo. Lucero is moving forward in that fight but Pac just Toyed with him. That's how I see Pac deals with hatton. Hatton will looks like Lucero against pac. Hatton will miss almost all his hooks only Hitting air while Pac will Pepper him with straights & Jabs.

Pac already deals with one of the best Body punchers in Barrera twice. Did Barrera land any effective body shot on Pac in 23 rds? Note also that Barrera has 24" Arms compared to Hatton's 20". How the hell Hatton can reach Pac without taking straight bombs from Pac. I haven't even mentioned Pac's right hook yet.

I don't see anyway hatton wins this fight, Maybe a lucky Punch, that's all he has.

Pacquiao will allow Hatton to move forward. He'll just use angles and counter punching to keep him from getting inside as much. And when he does, he'll hold hatton before Hatton can hold him. Then Hatton will ***** and complain because he's not getting it his way.

Actually Pac doesn't move Backwards any more. He moves side to side. Pac moves to the right then he throw his left straight. Move to the Left then throws hot right hook or Jab. Pac moves in & out to create punching angles nowadays. No way Hatton beats the Latest Pac edition. I even Pick Pac against hatton when he was still campaigning at 130. nOw we saw how he did at 135 & 147, no doubt in my mind Pac will Ko Hatton. Make easy money... bet on Pac!

Not like he can moving forward. He can do it a little bit and is better then Hatton most likely. If Hatton can maul Pacman I do not think Pacman can do anythign about it. It remains to be seen what Hatton will be allowed to get away with in the fight though.

Pacman looks like a great boxer against people who are unable or unwilling to fight back (last two fights), so what will he do when he has to face adversity again?

That was my point, you have to force Pacman to go backwards, he is slightly more versitile then Hatton but he is not a pinnicle of versitility. If he can force Hatton backward he will crush him and turn his face into meatloaf. If Hatton can force Pacman to fight off his backfoot and maul him, I favor Hatton in that sort of fight.

I do favor Pacman to win by the way, I just see that is the path to victory for either man, but Pacman's scenario is more likely in my eyes.

This is what I will be watching for in the fight to see who has the edge, in my mind.

You see the fight going on Pac's way early but pick Hatton late??? No way Hatton will be standing on his feet Late in the rd if Pac will have sucess early. Pac will Ko him in 5.
