Having said that......hey guys nice to be in this semi hilarious-aggrevating posts. I am a huge Hatton fan. Love him-have for years and years. no, i am not from UK. just regular white guy from atl who happens to be around 145 lbs, loves slammin beers, and haved loved boxing since the days of young tyson. Anyway - about ricky

I just don't understand why on every message board ricky gets slammed so bad for being one dimensional, open for anything, not quick enough, no jab. Why doesn't any hatton fan comment on how cool it is that a fighter who might/could be thought as a one dimensional fighter is so fun to watch. This little guy goes into these fights and really roughs people up. His personality is absolutely exceptional and brings some different aspects to the sport that are very positive. The fact remains that he has only lost one time. And to awesome floyd who i love in the ring but hate outside of.
I don't care if people think he has no resume - he worked his way up and is winning...most of the time in very entertaining ways...

As far as pac - I have not followed him a whole lot (only seen a couple bouts - not emotionally attached like i am with many others) But after doing some researching and watching some of his fights he is also a tough little guy who roughs people up....I mean this could really be set up to be an awesome fight.

Samurai - enjoy ALL of your posts
Hammer - i'm right there with you for ricky - just don't step into people's wheelhouse with some of your comments
    Thanks, I appreciate it.

So... Welcome to the asylum, GP! I hope you stick around, you seem like a level-headed guy, and that's something we need more of around here. Don't ever let the haters phaze you -- Ricky's an excellent, unique fighter, and I applaud you for standing by him.

    • I like Hatton and all but he's getting knocked the **** out. Pacquiao is a machine & will get to that chin often.

Personally, while I think these stats are a useful aid to get a gauge of a fighter's potential in stopping his opponents, it doesn't accurately show the whole picture and doesn't guarantee that it will happen in the fight, but they do help make that picture a little clearer.
I agree 100%. Pacman will not just win, he will KO Hatton.

As Oscar dela Hoya once said before their fight, `Manny Pacquiao is a Natural WelterWeight`. MP is evolving, realizing his true-found power at LW & W. He`s gonna prove you all wrong once again. I really think that peeps are over-hyping Hatton in order to neutralize the betting odds and make a killing.

          • this is reminding me od pre pavlik-hopkins talk....... many ppl, including myself, said that pavlik would ko hopkins........ maybe we're in for an upset? that would suck, but i wouldnt be surprised because even tho ricky has flaws, he does have a ghreat trainer in his corner and nobody is unbeatable(except floyd )

But Pman is a phenomenon! Living in a cardboard box at the age of 14, now a multimillionaire giving to the poor, building schools, helping typhoon victims, constantly receiving threats of kidnapping, dreaming of being President of a country. We are lucky to have witnessed this in our lifetime. Hatton is a good man, excellent boxer. But Pacman is willing to DIE in the ring for the sake of his big responsibilities, that`s why even Mexicans admire him. It`s not his style, not heft nor stat. It`s ALL HEART. Accomplishing the impossible, that`s why he`s famous. Most of all, he prays with all his heart, that`s his secret weapon. After Hatton, he will be fighting Mosley, then challenge a super welterweight champion, then retire breaking most records.

3 - hatton is the master of holding on for dear life....he will drag it out to 12 if hes getting wopped

hatton has looked hurt many other fights but you are right in the fact that ricky is realy good at preventing himself from gettin knocked down whenever he has looked really hurt like in the collazo fight he falls on you and holds and he is very good at that

Of course the Pacman had problems with the fighters you've mentioned. They are good and if you're good, someone will have trouble defeating you.

If the Pacman loses a fight, does that truly mean he didn't have the heart to win or do his best? JAT
