Who here thinks Angulo is way overhyped?

I don't see this guy as that great. Yes, he has a good chin and yes he is a great pressure fighter with good punching power but like all guys like that a good boxer will outbox him and make him look very amaturish. I am not hating on Mexicans but Angulo and Victor Ortiz are two of the most overhyped prospects right now in boxing. Both can be top 10 fighters in their division but when they step way up in class against top 5 guys they are going to be exposed. Ortiz I think has a brighter future of the two. Just my opinion but Angulo is going to get big time exposed, very soon.

I like Angulo but I agree that he's probably a little over hyped. He's got good power, but his defense is a little suspect and he's a little bit slow. I think he's got a lot of potential. He's just gotta work on his defense.

Angulo is slow as a Fedex truck and just as easy to hit.

I have no clue about how Angulo would do against a slick boxer. He has shown some decent things, but he has shown some flaws although no one has really been able to exploit them so far (he has fought mostly limited opposition though). When he gets matched up against fighters that are limit and there to be hit he looks great, but happeans when he gets more resistence in the ring? (can he dig deep, can he adapt, can he reverse the tide of a fight going against him ect ect ect)

Angulo will continue to cave problems with cuts because of those jutting eyebrow ridges and ZERO head-movent.

How is he over hyped? He gets the credit he deserves but I don't see anyone really over doing it.

Every fighter is either dubbed overrated or over hyped on this forum.

Yea that is not a good sign moving foward, although it can possibly be overcome.

Angulo is no Margarito, he is one dimensional and I suspect when he is put in with some class we will see this, but his trainers should continue to bring him along slowly introducing him to different styles and gettting him a lot of experience before truly stepping him up. I think it was a blessing in disguise that he wasnt put on against Mayorga too early. He is lucky thought to have a division that has thus far not much depth.
