Gomez can't hurt Vitali though, he has the fundamental boxing skills but no real weapon and unless Vitali is less than 75%, Gomez is getting spanked. Sanders was a tougher assignment than the one on March 21st.

JC Gomez has underrated power. He's the only one to ever knock either the iron-chinned Samil Sam or Vladimir Virchis down...

              He has 35 KOs.

''There's more than one way to skin a cat.'' No one is saying Gomez can knock him out, but he can beat him on points. Gomez hasn't been anywhere near 100% for a long time himself.

He can pick holes in orthodox defenses, that's his main offensive skill I'm not convinced he's a big puncher, especially at HW.

Probably no heavyweight is more familiar with the Klitschko brothers than former two-time heavyweight champion Byrd. He is still the only fighter to actually defeat Vitali.
I know everyone has their own opinion on what would or wouldn't have happened later on in their fight, but I find it a bit comical that the article completely omits the mention of a certain Mr. Lewis from the equation.

Or is it just the writer's 'clever' way of hinting that the VitMan didn't quit against Lewis, but did so against Byrd. I don't quite geddit.

                      Good move by Vitali

Wlad's victims will help him prepare for Gomez
