If people were salivating to see a unification bout between WBO/WBC champion Kelly Pavlik and IBF champ Arthur Abraham - they may have to salivate for a while longer. Pavlik's next ring appearance is probably not going to be against Abraham or WBA champion Felix Sturm. The most unlikely of opponents, undefeated John Duddy, may get the Pavlik title shot. [details]
Pavlik vs. Duddy Seems Likely, Not Pavlik-Abraham

He isn't really the most unlikely of opponents at all. He was discussed for Pavlik throughout 2008, plus hes fighting on an Arum produced card, and Im not sure of it, but he may be a top rank fighter. How is he the most unlikely of opponents? sub par journalism as usual. -

hahaha, that's weak. I like pavlik, but clearly his promoters are a bit scared of abraham. trying to pull the money card, as if duddy is some huge name. lmao. They are milking pavlik because they are afraid he may lose.
No disrespect to pavlik, cuz I know he'll fight anyone, but come on. this is a joke!Comment

This pathetic attitude is what is killing boxing. All they have to do to make Abraham well known is promote him a bit on HBO or Showtime. He's a title holder for goodness sakes, has been the #1 contender in The Ring's rankings for ages, and is an exciting fighter. Duddy isn't even ranked in The Ring's top ten. Really pathetic and sad.If people were salivating to see a unification bout between WBO/WBC champion Kelly Pavlik and IBF champ Arthur Abraham - they may have to salivate for a while longer. thats lame. pair your middle weight champion with gary locket, marco antonio rubio and now duddy. and felix sturm is very well know in the states by fight fans. so is abraham. but at least he said at one point these fights will be made...but when?Comment

Bob Arum doesn't care for boxers safety, careers or the sport, only his pockets.
There's no other excuse.
That's all.Comment
