I agree, Abraham would actually be a good style match up for Pavlik. If I was Arum this fight would be my first choice after Rubio. Kelly said he wanted the fight, and I can understand why. It's 50/50 IMO it could go either way.

This sort of thing is what is killing boxing. As for Abraham-Sturm, Sturm's camp seems to be pricing him out of it - see here. That's also bad. But if Pavlik fights Duddy, hopefully Strum-Abraham can be made now. Okay "idiot" was a bit too strong, but I thought that walk on water comment was ridiculous - no-one here has claimed Abraham is an all time great or anything like that, but he's by far the most meaningful opponent for Pavlik right now, and it's appalling that Pavlik's camp should not even be trying to make it happen.
I agree that Abraham is one of Pavlik's best opponents. However, to suggest that Pavlik is afraid to fight him when he has fought, minus the Rocket, world class competition is also absolutely ridiculous. And you have to remember that this unfortunately, for good or bad, is part of boxing. Also, there could be from ten to hundred reasons, legitimate or other wise, that this fight has not taken place and very well may never happen. It sure as hell would not be the first time. And I believe that it is a matter of simple economics when you have to many hands in the same cookie jar. By the way apology accepted!!

I can understand how Duddy might be bigger at the gate, for now, but no one has really seen him on U.S. TV unlike AA who was seen in both Miranda fights on Showtime and who has been spoken of highly. Isn't the trick to find a way to get them both on a card and build it if they're serious? Sleight of hand in Boxing rules.

Sturm fighting DLH was seen by far more people than the almost none who have actually seen a Duddy fight on TV. what major appearance has he had? He sells tickets in NYC; that much is certain and the fight could yield gate. It's not a zero sum; he can rebuild with Rub and Dud and then move back to real comp. Whatever. But to allege Duddy is more well known to the masses is preposterous.
