PS: I would never claim Hatton is stronger than Pac. My argument around here when someone claimed Hatton is stronger has always been "how the hell do you know if he's stronger if you haven't been in the ring with either of them?"

I don't buy the "Hatton is stronger" thing at all. Being strong doesn't win you fights anyway. Skill does.
    Ricky Hatton is: 5 ft 6 in (1.68 m)
    Manny Pacquiao is: 5 ft 6.5 in (1.69 m)

So it's not that much difference.

The way I see it, you're half right, half wrong. Hatton has to maul once he's inside, but in order to get inside without being hit too much on the way in, he must jab hard, and use head movement and angles. In some of his early fights he did used to do those things well - e.g. vs. Tackie. And he does need to be far more patient than he was against Mayweather - that fight was quite competitive until he allowed himself to get frustrated.

Size and strength isn't height anyway, for benefit of paylapz83.

Same here, If Pacquiao dominates Hatton then I will man up & come on here & say I was wrong. I didn't see ANY dirty tactics in Hatton's last fight or any holding by him AT ALL. That's why I'm baffled that people keep bringing up the Hatton that fought PBF & not the Hatton that fought Malignaggi. No matter what people say, it was definitely a different approach he used & it was successful. It's funny to me because guys on here are questioning my boxing knowledge because I actually think Hatton has a chance?

The guy has only lost once in his whole professional career & has dominated the Jr Welter Weight division. What's so crazy with thinking he has a shot at beating Pacquiao? Manny is a GREAT offensive fighter but his game plan is always explosive & he loves to **** (Morales,Barrera,Marquez,Diaz) Name 1 fight that Pacquiao didn't want to **** out instead of box. The only fight he boxed was with Oscar & that's because Oscar was bigger & slower. I see Hatton pressuring Manny to fight his fight because Manny's instinct is to brawl & not back down.

But we've also seen him be reckless as hell and close the distance with complete disregard to those fundamentals...and do it with some success against quality opposition. The higher the level of competition so far, the more Ricky has seemed to abandon those fundamentals in favor of rushing in and smothering or absorbing whatever the other guy has for him. Thing is, I don't see Pac having answers for Ricky's work inside...but I don't see Ricky getting opportunities to box his way in or be canny about how he gets there.

To the last part, I couldn't really tell you where Ricky had any notable success at any stage of the Floyd fight. It was competetive in that Ricky made Floyd work, but I didn't have him winning a lot of rounds even prior to 8, 9 and 10.

I read a previous post that said Pacquiao was taller than Hatton so that's why I posted the height of both fighters.

There's some conflicting info about their heights. I read Pac is shorter by half inch.

After 6 rounds I had it about even, and I believe quite a few people did. Hatton lost every round after that, though

Only way for Hatton to win this fight is to wrestle Pacquiao but thats gonna require him to eat a lot of Pacquiao combinations as he tries to get close to him! Mayweather is trying to make Hatton a boxer but Hatton doesnt have the boxing skills to box Pacquiao, he is gonna have to be really aggressive. Only way i see Hatton winnings this fight is by KO, he wont win by decision because Pac will land too many shots on him. Realistically i got Pac by 10th rd TKO!

I know, man...was just piggybacking your post to respond paylapz83's translation of strength/size into a height issue.
