I won't be tongue-tied if Hatton wins, btw, I'll give respect where it's due. I only hope he doesn't use any dirty tactics, elbows and such, cause this will somewhat tarnish the victory.

Ricky needs to be his old overtly aggressive self from the off. If he begins steadily, trying to get the measure of Pac in a bid to show 'patience' and work his way in (like he appeared to do with Paulie), I see him getting diced up and being forced to backslide into the old habits quick. If Paul can cause Hatton's face to puff up after one round, Pac can do it worse. How Hatton recovers from a bad start might depend on how bad Pac gets to him early and how much Hatton's capacity for absorbing punishment has diminished.

What the Pullcounter guy said...Hatton's gonna need to be able to maul Pac and rough him up.

Lot of people claimed Ricky would be too big, too strong for Floyd. Turned out not to be the case...Floyd had the kind of physical strength you can't legislate for, kind that comes from a supreme approach to overall conditioning and living the life. Pac has a not dissimilar approach to his conditioning and strength disciplines...anybody think he can surprise a few people and match Hatton for physical strength inside? Even if so, matching Ricky in the wiles and trickery of 'inside' (dirty) fighting might be a strain on his versatility.

If Hatton can get into his hit and maul groove...I'm tempted to agree with Pullcounter, he'll overwhelm Pac.

please be reminded that pac is a 1/2 inch taller than hatton and they will going to fight both at 140 lbs...how can u people say that hatton is more bigger ang stronger than pac?just try to recall his last 2 fights,hatton did not even floored one of them in any round....becuase hattons power that your talking about is only effective with his hold and wrestle style not boxing ok?..

Are you serious about your knowledge mate? Did you watch Hatton/Lazcano fight? A lightweight almost Knock Hatton out...

You know he fought much worse than he normally does in that fight, tactically, so it's a disingenuous example to give. It was because of that performance that he sacked his trainer and hired Floyd Snr. His performance against Malignaggi was much better - he jabbed his way in far more, moved his head more and showed more angles. Still not enough to do well vs. Pacman, but he's got an intense training camp ahead of him, and those are the things Floyd will mainly be working on.

Oh did i hear Castillo? Castillo is far his best when Hatton fought him OK?

Revisionism - The Ring still rated Castillo at #9 in its P4P list a month before that fight.

PS: I would never claim Hatton is stronger than Pac. My argument around here when someone claimed Hatton is stronger has always been "how the hell do you know if he's stronger if you haven't been in the ring with either of them?"
