He would beat Mosely, Cotto, Margarito, or anyone else from 140-154! He is being smart and he is waiting for the outcome of the pacman vs. hatton which will net him DOUBLE of what he can make fighting Mosely. Back when Mosely was on top, he didn't want to see Mayweather, and now that Mayweather is the man to beat; Mosely wants the fight...My, oh my, have the tables turned!
Talk is cheap. Maybe he can beat them, but he's been too afraid to test them. Nobody walks out from a millions of dollar rematch and then retires. If he thought he could beat De La hoya he would have done the match and then retire with all that money.

Sure he could have beaten Oscar, but he had his doubts. If he doesn't have confidence then you know he can be beaten.
That lack of confidence in a fight will only distract him from putting on his best fight. On the other hand Mosley is a smart and quick boxer with more punching power, good enough to beat any boxer in 147.

Why hasn't he fought them then?

I wonder if a fighter like Leonard would have been so highly rated if he'd avoided Benitez, Duran, Hearns and Hagler but his fans were adamant he'd beat them. Hmm, I don't think so. You have to step in the ring and actually achieve the W for it to be counted.

anyone really surprised?? mayweather will never fight someone who is actually a threat to taking his precious "0". Which is why he wont fight Cotto or Pac as well. Only way he comes back is if somehow Hatton beats Pac then i have no doubt in my mind that we see Mayweather/Hatton 2 because he knows he destroys Hatton again no problem. Seriously that would be such a joke if that happens...

LOL, you seriously just said that Floyd retired because he was scared of Oscar. AN Oscar who was a year older then the one he already beat pretty cleanly (to me the first fight was not close at all). Think abotu what you type and read it over 2 or 3 times to make sure it makes some sence before hitting submit reply. There is no way he was affraid of Oscar, he might have been upset by the money offered to him and said it is not worth my time, that seems muchmore plausible.

Mosley has always had trouble with people that were better boxers then himself, and guess what Floyd is a far superior technical boxer to Mosley.

I do not think tha Mosley is the threat to take his 0 that you are making him out to be. Shane has trouble with better boxers, now maybe Shane can do something with Floyd because Floyd is smaller, but to me Mosley would have to prove that.

It is a good fight, a fight I would like to see, but in reality I wanted to see this fight 5 years ago (in which they both could have made time to fight each other), so this fight probably would have just disapointed me in the end

                Oh i get it now.

Floyd moves up to 154 to fight de la hoya, de la hoya gets.

                1) A huge cut of the money (which is to be expected)
                2) Choice of gloves
                3) Choice of ring size

Floyd beats him with rounds to spare, but nearly gets robbed of his win because idiot judges gives rounds to a guy who moves forward but hardly lands.

Floyd wins, people say "Ahhhh we knew floyd was gonna win, ocsar was shot"

What would he have to gain by fighting oscar again? if floyd needed the money that badly, he wouldnt have retired.

Some people just get an erection by slagging the guy off, its getting old now, same people said he ducked at hatton at 140, when hatton turned him down, same people are now saying he is ducking mosley, when mosley was the one who declined to fight him cos of toothache.

No jokes, People even said he was ducking baldomir when he took the judah fight after judah lost.

i wouldnt say Mosley would be the favorite to beat Mayweather but i do think hs is a very credible threat. He has the power that Mayweather has yet to face in the WW division and he has the speed not to match him at this point but to give him trouble both on the offense and defensive end. Mosley can beat him so it makes no sense for Mayweather to fight him thats not his type of fights!

i think this fight should be made, but mosley probably has to beat cotto first.
